Overwatch 2 Season 3 will update ultimate charges

#News

Overwatch 2 Season 3 will tweak the current state of ultimate charges. Players will also get regular communications.

Overwatch 2 Season 3 is on the horizon, and players are expressing frustrations about how they can keep 30% of their ultimate charge when they switch to another hero.
Jared Neuss, the executive producer of Overwatch 2, acknowledged this on Twitter and stated that changes will happen in Season 3. He added that players will get regular communication updates soon. Read on for details.

Overwatch 2 Season 3 updates ultimate charges

In addition to acknowledging how players can currently keep 30% of their ultimate charge when they switch to another hero, Neuss talked about big communication changes. The communication strategy for these Overwatch 2 Season 3 updates will see improvements.
"The lack of acknowledgement isn't a lack of concern, just to be clear," Neuss wrote on Twitter.
For context, he replied to a player who posted about how the Overwatch 2 developers "refused to even acknowledge the [disastrous] effect the 30% ult charge [transference] has had on the game."

Overwatch 2 will get regular communications

In another reply, Neuss said that Overwatch 2 has plans that will manifest soon for regular communications on either a weekly or biweekly basis.
Currently, it's tough to fill in players about the latest updates because fans are only getting silence, tweets from Overwatch 2 developers that are difficult to find, or long-form blogs.
"There needs to be a quicker middle ground," Neuss said. "It's not a hard problem to solve, it just took a back seat to launch and 2023 planning for a bit. Great people are working on it now and, in the meantime, we'll keep jumping on twitter in-between meetings to fill gaps as best we can."
As players anticipate these upcoming changes, they can also ready themselves up for the arrival of new support heroes.
That's all for now. Stay tuned on Esports.gg for more Overwatch 2 news and updates.
