Sewaddle Pokémon GO Community Day: Tips, tricks & 100% IV

The next Pokémon GO Community Day will feature Sewaddle. This will provide Pokémon GO Trainers a chance to grab a Shiny Sewaddle and get a Leavanny with exclusive move, Shadow Claw.

Sewaddle Community Day takes place Saturday, October 5 from 1400-1700 local time.

Sewaddle Community Day is probably not the Community Day everyone expected. We've often seen more Halloween themed Pokémon feature in October Community Days. However, this is a shiny that a lot of Trainers won't have, and Leavanny with Shadow Claw has some interesting PvP implications. So, more than ever this is a great chance to meet up with your friends and play some Pokémon GO.

The following bonuses will be in effect for trainers during Sewaddle Community Day in Pokémon GO.

There will also be a $1 Research Ticket, Showcases and special item-bundles in the Pokémon GO Store.

During the event times, Sewaddle will be appearing much more frequently in the wild. You'll also have a increased chance of catching a Shiny Sewaddle.

There will also be a featured move for evolving Sewaddle. Any Swadloon evolved into Leavanny during Sewaddle Pokémon GO Community Day will learn Shadow Claw, a Ghost-type move. If you have any Leavanny already, the only way they can learn this move is through an Elite TM.

The odds of encountering a Shiny Sewaddle is about 1 in 25 during this Sewaddle Pokémon GO Community Day.

The following table shows the highest CP a Sewaddle can be at every level. In the wild, Sewaddle can be Level 1 to Level 30, and if it is Rainy or Sunny weather, Level 6 to Level 35. A Sewaddle at the maximum CP value would be a 100% IV Pokémon.

Sewaddle Community Day will add Shadow Claw as a Fast Attack for Leavanny. This move will give Leavanny some extra coverage in PvP.

Niantic, as always, told Trainers to keep an eye out for special Pokémon Showcases during this Community Day. However, it seems someone has made a mistake at Niantic because the Showcases for this weekend are Galarian Slowpoke, Slowbro and Slowking.

This Sewaddle Pokémon GO Community Day is primarily a great chance to get a Shiny of a new Pokémon.

The bonus for this Community Day sadly is the least popular of the three common bonuses. The 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance is only really valuable if you're willing to spend some coins on Incubators. If you're willing, collecting 12 x 12km Eggs and using a Star Piece just before they hatch will yield the most Star Dust.

We also have extra Candy and Candy XL for catching Pokémon during this event. But, you can boost that up even further by using a Grass or Bug-type Mega Level 3 Mega Pokémon.
