EMEA super team NAVI vs Hearty underdog Team Secret

NAVI have gotten off to a flying start in Sao Paulo, having seen off Kru 2 - 0 in their opening match. Whereas Team Secret pulled off arguably the biggest upset of the tournament so far when they took down Team Liquid in a dominant 2 - 0 win. Team Secret will be facing off against another EMEA super team in the Omega Bracket. However, it is likely that NAVI will provide them with a greater test than Team Liquid did.

This fixture has the potential to go the distance based off of each team's previous match and we will likely see plenty of thrills along the way. It is another huge clash between the EMEA and the Pacific Leagues at LOCK//IN. But who will prevail this time around?

cNed and Shao go big for NAVI on Icebox

The match begins with a trip to Icebox. Team Secret gets off to a great start as the pull off three back-to-back clutches to take an early 4 - 0 lead. NAVI manage to get their first round on the board with a big 2 v 1 play. They follow that up with another round following a brief tech pause. Team Secret get a round back only to feel the wrath of cNed's Operator as NAVI manage to tie the map at 5 - 5. The teams go into halftime level at 6 - 6.

Team Secret secure the second pistol round of the match to retake the lead at 7 - 6. Invy pulls off a big 1v1 clutch to extend their lead. NAVI manage to trade it out again to tie the map again at 8 - 8 and they begin to ramp up the aggression on their offence as they hit the double digit mark. It looked as though Team Secret might be able to pull it back. But a huge clutch from cNed and Shao in round 19 sends Secret's economy plummeting down. NAVI may have had a rough start, but they clutched up when it mattered most as they take Icebox 13 - 8 and 1 - 0 lead in the series.

NAVI obliterates Team Secret on Pearl

NAVI opens up Pearl with a pistol round win, which is followed up by a flawless round 2. Team Secret manages to briefly halt NAVI's momentum with a round win of their own, but struggle to deal with their opponent's positioning across the map. The lead continues to grow for NAVI with each player firing on all cylinders. Though Team Secret manages to secure a couple more rounds, one coming off of a ridiculous 3K Sheriff play from Invy. But NAVI are still able to take a comfortable 9 - 3 lead into halftime.

Team Secret find themselves in a deep hole as they teams swap sides on Pearl. Shao gets a 4k on the second pistol round to increase NAVI's lead to 10 - 3. Secret get their fourth round of the game, but another solid round out of NAVI leaves the Pacific League side with a broken economy and down 11 - 4. Team Secret had wowed the LOCK//IN crowd on Icebox, but their appeared to be nothing left in the tank. And it showed as NAVI took the final round in near flawless fashion to secure a 13 - 4 win on Pearl. Winning the series 2 - 0 overall.
