All roads lead to Seoul.
Riot have announced that the 2024 VALORANT Champions will be held in Seoul, South Korea. The event will crown the VCT World Champion and will cap off a six month VALORANT Champions Tour season.
The VALORANT Champions Tour Seoul will take place in August, and will feature the worlds best 16 teams. This marks the first time that a Champions event has been held in Asia.
VALORANT also has two masters event sin Madrid and Shanghai earlier in the year.
VALORANT Champions to be held in Seoul
Champions events have the season ending finale since 2021, with events held in Berlin, Istanbul and Los Angeles. VALORANT Champions heading to Seoul continues the trend of ensuring that fans all over the world get to see the premier event come to their region.
Seoul will play host to the 16 best teams in the world between August 1-25, 2024. Jake Sin, Head of VALORANT Esports APAC made the announcement ahead of the opening of today's VCT Pacific Kickoff event.
How will teams qualify for VALORANT Champions?
There will be several months of intense competition ahead for teams who have ambitions to be crowned the global VALORANT Champions in Seoul. That journey is just beginning, with Kickoff tournaments in the each of the four regions.
Just two teams from each of the regions will qualify to the first VALORANT Masters event, held in Madrid. Those eight teams will battle it out between March 14-24.
Teams will once again return to regional competition in April and May, competing to earn a spot at the second VALORANT Masters in Shanghai held May 23-June 9.
International Leagues offer direct qualification
The final event before VALORANT Champions in Seoul will be a second set of international leagues in June and July. This event will directly qualify three teams per region to VALORANT Champions.
Teams will either qualify for the event in Seoul through that International League, or via Champions points earned through the culmination of all their events throughout the VALORANT competitive calendar.
How can I get tickets for VALORANT Champions?
There will be the chance to see your favourite VALORANT teams battle head to head in Seoul in person. However, it is not yet possible to buy tickets to the 2024 VALORANT Champions. Riot have not yet revealed the venue for the event, or ticket prices.
