The VALORANT Champions Tour has gone through a major reshuffle thanks to Riot Game's new franchise system. This re-envisioned VCT will see 30 franchise teams competing across 3 region-based leagues to determine who is the best. Below you will find all of the latest information pertaining to the VCT Pacific League format for the 2023 season.

As mentioned earlier, the 2023 VCT season features 30 franchise teams, with 10 of them making up the Pacific League. Here is a quick list of all the teams that were selected to compete in the inaugural Pacific League season.

  4. Global Esports (South Asia)
  5. Paper Rex (Singapore & Malaysia)
  6. Rex Regum Qeon (Indonesia)

  9. Team Secret (Philippines)
  10. Zeta Division (Japan)

Pacific League format explained

Here is a brief explanation on how the Pacific League format will work, per Riot Games' explanation via VALORANT Esports. The season will begin with the standard League Play contest. The 10 teams will face off against each other in a single, round-robin style contest stretching across eight weeks. All of the matches are played in the standard best-of-three format.

Following the conclusion of League Play, the Top 6 teams will progress to the Pacific League playoffs, where they will face off in a best-of-three, double-elimination style bracket. The semi and grand finals will be best-of-five contests. The teams that place in the Top 3 at the end of playoffs will represent the Pacific League at Masters Tokyo in June.

The Top 3 Pacific League teams shall also qualify for VCT Champions 2023 tournament held in Los Angeles in August. It is here they will fight against the best teams from both the Americas and EMEA leagues in order to be crowned the 2023 VALORANT World Champion. Teams that finish outside of the Top 3 in League Play will be given one last opportunity to qualify for Champions via the Last Chance Qualifiers in July.

Full Pacific League schedule For 2023

Here is the full schedule for the 2023 Pacific League. VCT Pacific will commence on March 25 and will run until May 28. The season will be broken up into three segments:

  • Regular Season: March 25 - May 16
  • Playoffs: May 19 - 22
  • Last Chance Qualifiers: May 27 - May 28

All of the Regular Season and Playoff matches will be played at the Sangam Colosseum in Seoul, South Korea. However, the semi and grand-final matches will be held at the Jangchung Stadium.
