Let’s take a look at what’s happening in college esports and VALORANT, in ESC’s 2024 VALORANT playoff picture.

College esports are heating up! With the ESC VALORANT playoffs just around the corner, we’re here to guide you through it. Let’s take a dive in to see what’s in store for the next couple weeks.

In this playoff format, the teams will play best-of-three matches in a double elimination bracket. If a team loses twice before the grand finals, they are eliminated. Teams that take home wins move onto the upper bracket semifinals. Meanwhile, the losing teams drop down to the lower bracket.

The first game of the college esports VALORANT playoffs will be Akron University and Ohio University. The 1st and 8th seeds played against each other once in week 11, which Akron took in a 2-0 sweep. The teams will face off at 12:30 p.m. EST on Friday, November 22.

The 4th seed University at Buffalo Bills will be playing against the 5th seed Bowling Green State University Falcons. These college esports teams faced off in week one of the regular season, where Buffalo won two games to none. They will also be playing just after noon on Friday.

On the opposite side of the bracket, 2nd seed Ball State will be playing against Miami University, the 7th seed. Earlier in the season, Ball State took a very close 2-0 win over Miami in week 11. The game will start a little later at 2:30 p.m. EST, just after the previous games will likely finish.

The 3rd seed of Kent State will take on 6th seed Northeastern as the final quarterfinals match, also at 2:30 p.m. EST. The teams traded blows in week nine of the regular season, with Kent State coming out on top 2-1.

ESC will be streaming 2 of these college esports matches on their Twitch account tomorrow afternoon.
