The best sniper rifle in the game, the LR 7.62 needs the right attachments to serve you well.

Everyone loves a good sniper rifle in Call of Duty, and it's becoming clear early that the LR 7.62 is the best in the class for Black Ops 6.

Here's our ideal loadout for the LR 7.62 in Black Ops 6, complete with attachments, perks, wildcard selection, and more.

The LR 7.62 sniper rifle is unlocked at level 49 in Black Ops 6. This is close to the end of a standard prestige level, meaning if you don't use a prestige unlock token, you'll need to grind for this sniper rifle.

The LR 7.62's main comparison in the class is the LW3A1 Frostline. The Frostline is a slightly more mobile sniper rifle but lacks the power of the LR 7.62, which has fast become a favorite among quickscoping fans thanks to its one-shot kill potential to the mid and upper body.

As a result, we're going all-out on improving handling so you can quickscope your way to your next montage.

Attachments for the best LR 7.62 loadout in Black Ops 6

It's Gunfighter time! We're going for eight attachments for the LR 7.62 in Black Ops 6:

  • Muzzle: Muzzle Brake
  • Barrel: Short Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Precision Handguard
  • Magazine: Extended Mag I
  • Rear Grip: Commando Grip
  • Stock: Heavy Stock
  • Laser: Strelok Laser
  • Fire Mods: Rapid Fire

The important attachments are Rapid Fire (for the important follow-up shots), Commando Grip (a boost to ADS and sprint to fire speeds), and the Heavy Stock (limits flinch when aiming).

The other attachments provide additional benefits. The Muzzle Brake helps with first shot recoil and faster recoil reset. The Short Barrel helps us out when firing after moving or jumping, while the Strelok Laser improves accuracy as we begin to ADS.

I've thrown in Extended Mag I for a few extra rounds, but if you'd prefer a different scope, swap this out for the optic of choice.

Best secondary weapon for the LR 7.62

Our main focus may be on the sniper rifle, but we've got to have a handy secondary to back us up. Pick whatever pistol suits you best. I personally prefer the Grekhova for that up-close burst damage.

Lethal and Tactical equipment to use

We've gone for some left-of-field equipment choices here. I always suggest using whatever you like here, or something that suits the game mode. Here's my picks with this LR 7.62 loadout:

  • Lethal: Combat Axe
  • Tactical: Stim Shot
  • Field Upgrade: Scrambler

Enemy closing the distance and you're caught reloading? The one-hit Combat Axe is your friend here. I know not every player enjoys the throwing knives but honestly, give this a crack — you'll find it very useful!

I'm playing it safe with the Stim Shot tactical upgrade and the Scrambler Field Upgrade to keep you off UAVs and active in combat with healing.

Best perks and Wildcard for this LR 7.62 loadout in Black Ops 6

We're locked into the Gunfighter Wildcard, so it's just three perks for this loadout:

  • Perk 1: Ghost OR Ninja
  • Perk 2: Forward Intel
  • Perk 3: Vigilance
  • Wildcard: Gunfighter

The important perk bonus is the Recon specialty, meaning we've got to pick three blue perks. Forward Intel (for the minimap boost and icon) and Vigilance (for the HUD ping when enemies see you) are the definite two here.

In column one, I'm giving you a choice: Ghost helps keep you off enemy radars when UAVs are activated, while Ninja cuts your footsteps. Use based on the game mode you're playing!
