The M8A1 has started to dominate Warzone, and here’s the best loadout to use for the rifle in Season 2.
Throughout the course of Season 1 in Call of Duty: Warzone, several assault rifles, light machine guns, and submachine guns became the go-to weapons for many players. One gun that never entered the upper-tier of the meta, though, was the M8A1 marksman rifle. Of course, that changed with the Season 2 update, and now the M8A1 is easily the best weapon in Warzone, as long as you have the right loadout for it.
Below, you can see the strongest loadout of attachments for the M8A1 in Warzone.
Best loadout for the M8A1 in Warzone
The one major change to the M8A1 that made it skyrocket up the pick charts in Warzone was a new barrel attachment. This attachment was unlocked through the Weekly Challenges system in Season 1, and now it can be unlocked through the Armory in Warzone. With the attachment equipped, you turn the M8A1 into a fully-automatic monster with tremendous recoil control and nearly unbeatable damage. When paired with some other attachments, this makes the M8A1 unstoppable on any map.

- Optic: Greaves AccuSpot 3x Scope
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: M8A1 Autostrike-X8 Conversion (Exclusive attachment)
- Magazine: Redline Capacity Drum
- Fire Mods: 5.56 NATO Overpressured

Of course, the key to this loadout is the M8A1 Autostrike-X8 Conversion barrel. This reduces your damage range and bullet velocity, but we can make that up with the Monolithic Suppressor and 5.56 NATO Overpressured fire mod. The rest of the loadout is standard for a long-range rifle in Warzone, and it will serve you extremely well in any situation you come across.
