What is the Trophy Hunt Event in MW2 and Warzone 2?

The Trophy Hunt event is the first event of the newest season of MW2 and Warzone 2. It is a collector-thon where players collect trophies in various modes of the game to unlock rewards. There are 17 rewards in total for players to unlock but to get them all, there will be some grinding to be done.

You can earn trophies in any of the core modes of Modern Warfare 2. The only place you cannot earn them is Ranked Play.

Players will start Season 03 with 150 trophies in their trophy bank, allowing them to grab the first five rewards. A total of 1300 trophies are required to get the next five, with the final group being released on April 26.

Players can earn two Operator skins as mastery rewards for the event, including one for Roze and one for Konig.

Best ways to get trophies in MW2 and Warzone 2

Players can earn trophies in every single mode in MW2 and Warzone 2. You can progress through the challenge in any game that you play.

After each game, MW2 will show you an updated Trophy Bank counter.

In multiplayer, you will earn a trophy for every individual player that you kill. These trophies will need to be picked up in the same way that tags are in game mode Kill Confirmed. If the mode you are playing is round-based, such as Search and Destroy and Gunfight, they will be picked up automatically.

Trophies only count for each player you are playing against once. In a typical 6v6 lobby, you will earn six trophies per game for taking out everyone on the opposite team once.

What about Warzone and DMZ?

In Warzone 2 and DMZ, these trophies are available not only by killing opponents. AI Agents will also drop them after being taken out. You can also find trophies inside loot crates in Al Mazrah and on Ashika Island.

You can upload up to eight trophies per game of Warzone and DMZ, meaning that it's still going to take some time to get the best rewards in the event.

How to bank trophies in MW2 and Warzone 2

In Warzone 2 and DMZ, it's not so simple as just finishing the match having collected your trophies. You will need to take them to a trophy upload station in order to secure them. Once uploaded, they will be yours at the end of the game regardless of how you place.
