With EA Sports College Football 25 just over a week away, one of the things fans have been wondering about is the game's Ultimate Team mode. Well, thanks to a June 9 developer update, we now have more information on what to expect from the card-collecting mode ahead of the game's July 19 full release.
What is College Football 25 Ultimate Team?
Ultimate Team in College Football 25 will look similar to previous iterations of the game type featured in games like FIFA, Madden, or NBA 2K. The idea is simple - you collect player cards and, over time, look to make as strong a team as possible.
But, in College Football 25, there will be a bit of a twist as the mode will require you to navigate player chemistry, complete challenges, and will even have a weekly gauntlet with big prizes. Here's more of a full breakdown.

What players are available in College Football 25 Ultimate Team?
According to developers, College Football 25 Ultimate Team will feature over 1,000 college football players, legends of the game's past like Ray Lewis, and "active [NFL] players like Patrick Mahomes, Davante Adams, Christian McCaffrey, Josh Allen, Ceedee Lamb, Stefon Diggs, Joe Burrow, and many more who can join your squad!"
Players will be ranked from Common all the way to Legendary, with players coming in sets ranging from throwbacks from the past to current players. You will be able to earn these players from a variety of different things, like weekly challenges or objectives, or through a once-a-week mode called Gauntet.
Every Friday, enter the Gauntlet to take on the best the mode has to offer online. Become a Gauntlet Champion by achieving 10 Wins, but take 2 losses and your Gauntlet run for that week is over. A ton of great rewards are up for grabs, including Coins, National Champion Packs, and exclusive players!
Otherwise, players will want to be on the lookout for live events, as Ultimate Team modes typically remain active throughout the course of the season, mirroring major moments from within the sport. You'll want to not only look for the best players out there but also the ones that will work the best within your offensive and defensive scheme.
