No Land Beyond is rumored to be making a return as “New Land Beyond.”
There are so many Exotic weapons in the Destiny franchise, but every now and then, one rises above all others as a fan favorite. For a time after the launch of The Dark Below in 2014, No Land Beyond — a primary ammo sniper rifle — was the talk of the town.
Due to it's popularity, many expected it to be ported to Destiny 2 alongside some of the game's other Exotic weapons. Alas, after eight years and dozens of seasons, No Land Beyond is nowhere to be seen.
Until now! Dataminers in early February 2025 discovered a full lore tab, an early mockup, and even weapon traits pertaining to "New Land Beyond," a remake of the weapon in the sequel.
Here's everything we now know about New Land Beyond plus when we'll be able to get our hands on it!
When will New Land Beyond arrive in Destiny 2?
New Land Beyond is now available in Destiny 2 by preordering the Year of Prophecy Ultimate Collection bundle. This bundle costs $99.99 USD and includes the Exotic sniper, plus access to the next two expansions in Destiny 2 — The Edge of Fate and Renegades.
For those who don't preorder, New Land Beyond will likely become available to all players during Year of Prophecy.

What is New Land Beyond? Returning Destiny Exotic sniper rifle, explained
New Land Beyond is a Destiny 2 take on the classic sniper rifle No Land Beyond from the game's prequel. It was a popular Exotic among players for its unique iron sights and bolt action reload.
It's gotten a revamp in Destiny 2. New intrinsic trait "The Master" sees its damage boosted for every precision hit "until the wielder's defeat." This stacks up to 100 times for huge damage boost, and won't reset (unless you die!).
You'll be able to keep the shots coming quickly thanks to secondary trait Bullseye Bolster. Landing a precision hit increases the weapon's reload speed, handling, target acquisition, and stability for a short duration. This allows you to keep reloading a shot for your next precision hit.
New Land Beyond uses Special ammo, unlike it's Destiny 1 counterpart. While it does have extra reserve ammunition, you'll need to keep finding ammo to charge up the stacks. Dying will reset your progress, so stay alive!
The catalyst for New Land Beyond has not been revealed yet. Preordering the Year of Prophecy Ultimate Edition is supposed to unlock it. Bungie will likely reveal the catalyst closer to the launch of The Edge of Fate in July.
