There's a new mode in EA SPORTS FC 25 called Rush, which is available across Ultimate Team, Pro Clubs, Career, and Kick-off.
EA developed Rush to be a more casual and fast-paced setting for football fans. The mode has effectively replaced VOLTA and already left a good impression in the first days of EA FC 25 gameplay.

How does Rush work in EA FC 25?
Rush is EA FC's new five-versus-five mode with a fast-paced and high-scoring environment. Although it looks similar to the now-defunct VOLTA mode, they're not the same.
Rush features fluid positioning for all players on the pitch minus the goalkeepers, meaning you'll have to learn how to balance out attack and defense to not suffer too many counter-attacks.
The pitch is also a lot smaller in comparison to traditional matches and EA also introduced blue cards specifically for Rush. If one of your players gets shown a blue card, they have to get out of the pitch for one minute.

How does Rush work in EA FC 25 Ultimate Team?
In Ultimate Team, you'll have to choose the favorite player in your club and team up with friends or random players in five-versus-five matches. You'll earn points to unlock rewards as you complete these Rush matches in Ultimate Team.
However, that's not all. Rush will also feature live events from time to time, in which players can complete objectives and earn additional rewards. It's worth noting that everything you earn in Rush can be used to upgrade your team in traditional 11-versus-11 matches in Ultimate Team.

You can get closer to your young players in EA FC 25 Career Mode thanks to Rush. There will be youth tournaments every two months throughout the season and you can choose to play with their current or future potential.
How does Rush work in EA FC 25 Pro Clubs?
Similarly to Ultimate Team, you control your pro player in Rush Pro Clubs and play with your friends or randoms. By playing Rush Pro Clubs, you'll boost the reputation of your club in the rankings and unlock exclusive rewards.
