Earn free in-game cosmetics via the Fortnite Lantern Trials 2024 event!

The Fortnite Lantern Trials have returned in 2024, providing an opportunity to earn free cosmetics. Stemming from the Fortnite Lantern Fest, those who enroll in the Lantern Trials can unlock three in-game items after completing three challenges. The event begins today and ends on April 7. This article explains everything you need to know about the Lantern Trials, including how to participate and more.

How to enroll in the Fortnite Lantern Trials 2024

Players looking to take part in the Lantern Trials can head to the event’s official website. Once there, you will notice an option to log in. After clicking that, you must sign into your Epic Games account to officially enroll in the Lantern Trials.

If done correctly, you should see your Epic Games/Fortnite account name on the website. You are now ready to start completing the Quests to unlock all three cosmetic items.

  1. Navigate to the Fortnite Lantern Trials website
  1. Log in using your Epic Games account information
  1. Start earning badges to unlock the in-game rewards

How to unlock the event-exclusive rewards

Just for signing up, you will automatically receive the Disco Baller Spray. To unlock the other two items, you must earn badges through the Lantern Trials event. In this case, players obtain badges from surviving Storm Circles, which is a crucial mechanic in Fortnite.

You will receive one badge for every five Storm Circles survived. In total, you must collect 11 badges to unlock the remaining two Fortnite Lantern Trials 2024 rewards. It’s worth noting that the acceptable game modes include Battle Royale and Zero Build.

Below, we have provided a look at the cosmetic rewards and some quick-hit information for this event:

  • Disco Baller Spray – Unlock immediately after enrolling in the Lantern Trials 2024 event
  • Moonlit Piece Wrap – Earn six badges by surviving 30 Storm Circles
  • The Nightblade Pickaxe – Earn 11 badges by surviving 55 Storm Circles

It may seem like a lot of Storm Circles, but if you play enough Fortnite matches, the four-day event offers enough time to accomplish this task.
