Fortnitemares 2024: How to get and use the Chainsaw in Fortnite

The Chainsaw is a new weapon available in Fortnite as of today, Oct. 12 until the end of Fortnitemares 2024.

If you're not into horror movies, this new weapon draws inspiration from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre franchise. In these movies, the scary villain Leatherface notoriously uses a chainsaw to kill his victims. Leatherface, by the way, is also one of the Fortnitemares 2024 skins.

While Leatherface only uses the Chainsaw to get rid of the victims in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre movies, the weapon can be used differently in Fortnite. It's up to the players to decide whether or not they want to kill enemies with it.

Here's how you get the Chainsaw in Fortnitemares 2024 and what you can do with it.

You can pick a Chainsaw from the ground and chests.

As of the moment of this writing, it's unclear if the Chainsaw drops in specific locations on the map or if the spawn is completely random. We'll update this article when we know for sure.

As we said, there are two ways to utilize the Chainsaw in Fortnitemares 2024. You can either hack your way through enemies or rev it into the ground to propel yourself forward very fast.
