At least it’s less scary out there.
Grace Ashcroft is coming to Fortnite! The troubled FBI agent is not just about to make her Resident Evil debut in the game’s ninth main installment, Requiem, but also in the Epic Games’ popular battle royale title in 2026.
Ashcroft isn’t the first RE character to appear in Fortnite; however, unlike others, you can get her skin for free. Here’s when you can expect Grace Ashcroft to arrive in Fortnite and how to get her for free.
How to obtain Grace Ashcroft’s skin in Fortnite

You can get Grace Ashcroft's skin for free in Fortnite by pre-ordering Resident Evil Requiem on the Epic Games Store. Please note that this offer is available for both the game’s standard and deluxe editions. As of this writing, we don’t know for how long this offer will stand, although you can expect it to last until February 27, 2026.
Additionally, pre-purchasing RE: Requiem before January 8, 2026 will grant you 20% back in Epic Rewards. You can use it to purchase cosmetics and other items in titles such as Fortnite, Rocket League, and Fall Guys. Don’t forget to check out its terms and conditions on the Epic Games Store website.
Surprisingly, Resident Evil Requiem is the first RE game launching on the Epic Games Store. While you can purchase Dead by Daylight’s Resident Evil Chapter, none of the other RE games are available on this PC storefront.
When is Grace Ashcroft's release date in Fortnite?

While Capcom and Epic Games have yet to announce an official release date, the latter has confirmed that Grace Ashcroft will be available in Fortnite after RE Requiem’s launch on February 27, 2026.
What other Resident Evil skins can you get in Fortnite?

Whenever Grace arrives in Fortnite, she won’t be alone, as a few of the other RE characters have already made their presence felt in Epic’s battle royale title. RE 2 characters like Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield, alongside RE 1 & 3’s STAR members Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, have gotten their Fortnite bundles.
Strangely enough, these Resident Evil characters have not graced Fortnite’s item shop in over two years—they were last seen on April 24, 2023. This seems like a huge miss, especially during Fortnitemares 2025. Hence, if you have been meaning to get your hands on them, you’re in luck, as they are rumored to return around Resident Evil Requiem’s launch.
If the recent RE 9 Leon rumors are anything to go by, the DSO agent may even get a brand new Fortnite skin. While Capcom has yet to reveal Leon’s character in Requiem, at this point, it seems like the game’s worst-kept secret.
