Who is the streamer, Rubius?

If you keep up with Fortnite news in any fashion, you probably have seen that the game just released a brand new Icon Skin: Rubius. Who is this streamer, though? It would seem that many people are unfamiliar with the YouTuber.

Who is the Fortnite streamer, Rubius?

So, curious as to who Rubius is? Well, there is a reason you may have never heard of the streamer, despite his 40 million YouTube subscribers. The popular streamer is a Spanish-speaking streamer, eliminating a large majority of English speakers within his demographics.

Still, with Spanish being one of the most common languages in the world, Rubius has become a household name for many avid viewers within the gaming and lifestyle content community.

What may confuse some, though, is the lack of Fortnite content on his YouTube channel. So, why exactly was the streamer given an Icon Skin in Fortnite?

Streamer Rubius's Fortnite history

While Rubius may not be making much Fortnite content today, the streamer has quite the history with the popular Battle Royale.

In fact, he even achieved a world record back in 2018 for the most live viewers in a YouTube livestream during a massive Fortnite tournament. The streamer's name still relates to Fortnite with many fans, as the two videos revolving around his new Icon Skin amassed almost 8 million views.

From prop hunt videos to streaming Fortnite tournaments, Rubius will go down in history as one of the greats within the Fortnite community. His Icon Skin is enough proof of that.

Who do you think will be chosen next for an Icon Skin in Fortnite? Will it be your favorite streamer?
