Make sure all of your allies stay healthy in Elden Ring Nightreign.
Your two teammates in Elden Ring Nightreign are vital to the success of your expedition. Not only do you need them to help deal with enemies and defeat bosses, but you also want to have them around in case you lose all of your HP. Nightreign allows every player to be revived if they die, but the revival process is a little tricky to understand at first. Fortunately, you can revive any ally by following a simple process in Elden Ring Nightreign.
We'll show you how to revive your allies in the guide below so you can ensure your party is always alive and kicking.

How to revive your teammates in Elden Ring Nightreign
You're actually introduced to the revival process during the opening tutorial of Elden Ring Nightreign. Near the end of the tutorial, after you've gone through the ruined castle and opened a few chests, you'll see a purple marker appear on your screen. If you run toward this purple marker, you'll see a tutorial box pop up that explains how to revive allies.

While you do get that brief tutorial, it's not exactly clear. There are a few paragraphs you can read that do explain how to revive teammates, but actually taking part in the process and seeing your ally come back to life is a little different.
You can see exactly how to revive allies below:
- You'll know when a teammate needs to be revived when they have a purple meter above their body
- The meter will have one, two, or three sections completely purpled out
- To revive an ally, you need to get rid of all of those purple sections
- To do that, you need to attack your teammate. That's right, to breathe life back into an ally, you have to deal damage to them
- The best way to do this is to press the right joystick to focus on the teammate on the ground in front of you. Once they are marked with a white dot, start attacking them with your quickest weapon, as the speed at which you attack them makes a difference with enemies around
- As you damage your ally, you'll see parts of the purple sections start to disappear. You need to keep attacking your ally until all of the purple is gone from the meter, which results in the teammate being revived with half of their HP

So there you have it, you need to damage your teammates until they are back up and ready to fight. While this sounds like a simple process, you'll be surprised how challenging it can be to effectively land hits on a flat body on the ground, especially when using a melee weapon. It's also difficult if you're fighting a boss, as you want to revive your ally, but you also need to protect yourself from the boss's attacks.
You'll begin to learn the best times and strategies to revive teammates as you get more experience in Elden Ring Nightreign. For starters, though, just try to attack your downed allies as much as possible so you can get through your initial expeditions.
Of course, if you don't want to deal with teammates in Nightreign, you can always play the game as a solo player. We covered how to do that in a previous guide.
