This is the final step before the game enters early access.

Hades 2 is currently running a limited technical test on PC before early access begins. Given how successful the first game was, a lot of players are excited to participate and offer feedback to Supergiant Games.

While anyone can sign up for Hades 2's playtest, Supergiant Games will only select a handful of players in the beginning. If you don't want to wait for the early access, here's how you can sign up for the limited playtest.

How to access Hades 2's technical test

All you need to do to sign up for Hades 2's limited playtest is access the game's Steam page, scroll down, and click on the green "Request Access" button.

In case the developers grant you access to Hades 2's playtest, you will receive an email notification from Steam. The technical test has been running since April 16 and Supergiant Games will likely allow players to join in different waves, according to its last blog post.

"We expect to start with a small player population, then grow it over time," Supergiant Games said. "So, even if you aren't invited to the Technical Test right away, you may still be invited later. Our process boils down to: invite some players, fix any problems they run into, invite more players, and so on."

What does the Hades 2 playtest contain?

The technical test contains the "first major area of the game, and other early-game characters, systems, and content." If you clear this area a number at times, Hades 2 will suggest you stop playing.

How long will Hades 2's technical test last?

Supergiant Games estimates the playtest will last "longer than a week, shorter than a month." Once the developers feel the game is stable, they'll stop the technical step and launch early access on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Will the progress from the Hades 2 playtest carry over to early access?

As much as players wanted this feature, the progress in the Hades 2 technical test won't carry over to the early access version. This is because the versions are structured differently.
