Skull and Bones has had a lengthy first season. With a Smuggler's Pass, the battle against the Fleet of Pestilence, and plenty of mystery to uncover, pirates have been busy. But now, it is time to prepare for when Skull and Bones Season 2 launches.

At the time of writing, 11 days remain until the seasonal reset. That puts Skull and Bones Season 2 at either May 27 or 28.

The devs have delivered a massive update from the Skull and Bones prior to Season 2 and its seasonal reset. They're about to change the end game, and drop a slew of new content into the Indian Ocean for pirates to enjoy.

And it should all arrive near the end of May. Typically, Skull and Bones puts out its updates on Tuesdays, in the developers' time zone. Here are the times maintenance usually begins:

  • 7 p.m. PST (day prior)
  • 4 a.m. CEST
  • 12 p.m. AEST

So, if you're on the western side of the world, updates usually go live Monday evening. There is often no longer than an hour of downtime.

By the looks of how Season 1 began, Skull and Bones Season 2 should follow the same maintenance format with a launch on May 27 or May 28 depending on your part of the world.

About halfway through Season 1, Skull and Bones extended it by about a week. That gave pirate Kingpins plenty of time to complete all of the necessary tasks that propped up their empire and earned them in-game rewards.

Here are some things you can do before Season 2 starts, to set yourself up for success:

  • Collect an abundance of resources
  • Defeat La Peste and the Fleet of Pestilence
  • Take down as many sea monsters and ghost ships as you can
  • Complete the Smuggler's Pass
  • Unlock territories and manufactories through the Helm for Season 2 rewards
  • Collect up to 300,000 Pieces of Eight to ensure you retain the maximum when the new season begins
