Trailblaze levels are the most important feature in Honkai: Star Rail.

If you’ve just started playing Honkai: Star Rail, you’ll hear a lot about Trailblaze levels and how important they are to your overall experience of the game. But what exactly is the Trailblaze level? We have you covered.

Before you begin your trailblazing adventure, here are a few tips to help you in Honkai: Star Rail.

What is Trailblaze Level?

Trailblaze levels are basically your account levels in Honkai: Star Rail. For Genshin Impact players, it is also your Adventure Rank.

Increasing the Trailblaze levels allows you to carry on with the story. Here's why they are important in Honkai: Star Rail.

Trailblaze levels are extremely important in Honkai: Star Rail. Most of the content in the game is available at higher Trailblaze levels so the foremost objective for new players is to level up.

One of the biggest reasons for increasing your Trailblaze level is to increase your equilibrium. Once you reach Trailblaze Levels 20,30,40,50 you will find out you can’t level up further without increasing your equilibrium level.

To increase your equilibrium level, you need to pass the Equilibrium Trial (visible in the map). Your equilibrium level increases your level cap which is necessary to complete certain parts of the story.

With more equilibrium levels you will also receive better rewards from Calyx, Stagnant Shadow, Cavern of Corrosion, and Echo of War. That being said, you will also face tougher opponents and the world gets tougher in general.

How to Increase Trailblaze Levels?

Trailblaze levels are dependent on Trailblaze experience. There are multiple ways for you to gain Trailblaze experience. The daily Training missions are one of the most efficient ways to gain Trailblaze EXP.

  • Complete the Tutorial (You’ll get around 100 Trailblaze EXP upon completion)
  • Play the game and complete the story (You receive 50 Trailblaze EXP for every enemy you defeat. The game limits the number of enemies you face but should be able to obtain at least 1000 EXP every day depending on how much time you are willing to devote). You can find the full list in the Survival Index section,
  • Complete side-quests (The missions provide a lot of EXP, but they also take significant amounts of time to complete)
  • Collect Treasure chests (Basic Chests - 5XP, Bountiful chests - 20XP, Precious Chests - 30XP. You can check in the top left if you have collected all treasure chests in a particular area)
  • Honkai: Star Rail Dailies (more than 1000 per day)
  • Spend stamina to get Trailblaze experience
  • Simulated Universe: First-time clears of Simulated Universes give you 600 Trailblaze EXP.

Trailblaze Rewards

You can increase your trailblaze for a variety of reasons and one of them is also the Trailblaze rewards. Astral Express Conductor, Pom-Pom will reward you for every additional Trailblaze level.

To open the Rewards page, you will have to travel the Astral Express and then speak to the conductor. While the entire list of Trailblaze Rewards is very long and extensive, here are some of the more common rewards you will receive across all levels.

  • Stellar Jade
  • Credits
  • Light Cone enhancement materials
  • Character Ascension materials
  • Light Cone level-up materials
  • Character level-up materials

How to check Trailblaze Level?

You can check your Trailblaze Level and the rewards associated with it by talking with Pom-Poms that will be visible in the game. You can check the screenshot below for more information.

It is recommended to use the Trailblaze stack of 180 EXP every day to be as efficient as possible in the game.
