Feats of Strength will incentivize fighting over early game objectives in League of Legends 2025 Season 1.

League of Legends Season 1 is spicing up the gameplay for 2025, and the new Feats of Strength mechanic is only one of the many additions you'll see on your LoL games very soon. Check out everything you need to know about the new Feats of Strength mechanic in LoL here.

Feats of Strength explained

Feats of Strength is a new mechanic coming to LoL 2025 Season 1 to put more importance in early game objectives. The Feats mechanic will replace the bonus gold rewards from First Blood and First Turret.

Feats is present in every game. It is a best-of-three system that rewards the first team to get two of the following:

  • First Blood
  • First Tower
  • First Three Epic Jungle Monsters
    • Any 3 Void Grubs count as one Epic Jungle Monster. Getting all 6 is counted as two.
    • Drakes and Herald each count as one.

The team that wins the contest will be awarded the "Blessing of Noxus" buff, upgrading their tier 2 boots slightly. If a player does not have Tier 2 boots by the time their team gets the buff, it will automatically be applied upon buying the Boots. Cassiopeia cannot buy Boots, but her passive will get a slight upgrade if her team gets buff.

Winning Feats of Strength is also required to gain access to the more powerful Tier 3 upgrades for Boots.

"We added Feats to give players a fun, satisfying reward for getting an advantage in the early game that wasn’t just big chunks of gold that can provide very sharp swings in power," says League of Legends developers in their dev blog. "Since early game gold is very volatile and can vary in usefulness from providing a massive power spike to doing nothing at all based on item completion, Feats was made as a system to smooth out the power that is granted by winning the early game and turn what was previously just immediate gold rewards into a fun system that gives players more options later in the game if they play well early on."
