The esports action began with the Play-In Stage on Oct. 14. The Swiss Stage then ran from Oct. 15 to Oct. 25. This was followed by the Knockout Stage from Oct. 28 to Nov. 2 before the competition concluded with T1 as the winning team on Nov. 9.
LoL Worlds 2025 matches
T1 and Invictus Gaming (IG) duked it out in a Fearless Draft best-of-five (Bo5) match on Oct. 14 with T1 winning 3-1 to conclude the Play-In stage. The next set of matches were best-of-one (Bo1) and best-of-three (Bo3) ones in the Swiss Stage between Oct. 15 and Oct. 25. All of the elimination and advancement matches in this stage were Bo3 under Fearless Draft as well. Next, the Knockout Stage consisted of the Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and the LoL Worlds 2025 Grand Final. These matches were all Bo5 ones and under Fearless Draft.

LoL Worlds 2025 location
In terms of the LoL Worlds 2025 location, there were three in total. The Play-In Stage took place at the Beijing Smart Esports Center. This venue also hosted the Swiss Stage. Then, the Knockout Stage happened at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai before and the esports action concluded with the Grand Final at the Dong'an Lake Sports Park Multifunctional Gymnasium in Chengdu.
