The Winter Celebration comes to Marvel Rivals with free rewards to earn and a new game mode centered around Jeff.

The holiday season is here and Marvel Rivals is gearing up for their Winter Celebration. Starting late on December 19, you'll see the game turned into a winter wonderland. There are new hero skins, limited-time game modes, and much more to enjoy.

Let's go over all of the details so you know what to expect!

When is the Marvel Rivals Winter Celebration?

Let's start with when it all kicks off. You can begin partaking in the Winter Celebration for Marvel Rivals on December 19 at 11 p.m. PST. One can assume it will last through the year or for the rest of Season 0, but no information on that was revealed.

Jeff's Winter Splash Festival game mode

A brand-new game mode is coming during the event. Jeff the Land Shark is the focus, with his Winter Splash Festival mode. It looks a bit like Splatoon, where everyone plays as Jeff.

You have to color different territories of the map your teams color. Earn enough space as an army of Jeff and you get the win. Expect some missions and a special Greeting Card from Jeff to earn in-game rewards.

New hero skins coming with the Marvel Rivals Winter Celebration

There were five new skins revealed in the trailer for the Marvel Rivals Winter Celebration. Some of them seem to be free to earn, but others may need purchasing. Those details will come closer to the event's start time.

Here are the heroes receiving skins:

  • Jeff the Land Shark
  • Venom
  • Groot
  • Rocket Raccoon
  • Magik

All of these fit a winter theme, with Jeff, Rocket, and Magik all adorning a sort of skiing or snowboarding attire. For Venom, he essentially becomes a monster made of ice. And Groot is a Christmas tree with many ornaments featuring the other members of the Guardians of the Galaxy.

More may be added and just not revealed yet, so stay tuned to esports.gg for more Marvel Rivals coverage.
