Copper Age update and release date

Finally, after months of waiting, Mojang announced that the upcoming Minecraft Copper Age update will arrive on September 30, 2025. The update will include the highly anticipated Copper Golems along with the addition of copper tools, armor, and decorative items.
Here is a quick rundown of the content you can expect to arrive:
- Copper Golem - By placing a carved pumpkin on top of a block of copper, you can spawn this mob, which helps in sorting items from chests.
- Copper Chest - This new storage spawns alongside the Copper Golem. You place items you want to be sorted by the little mobs in this storage space.
- Copper Golem Statue - Once Copper Golems reach maximum oxidation, they stop moving and turn into statues. You can adjust the pose of these statues that emit a unique redstone signal. Use an axe to reawaken oxidized Copper Golems.
- Iron Golems can now gift Copper Golems a flower, which will then be placed on their head.
- Copper tools and weapons - You can craft varying tools using Copper that have a durability between stone and iron. These items don’t oxidize.
- Copper Armor - A new craftable full set of copper armor will be added. You can also find copper horse armor in the world.
- Shelf - This decorative block can be used to display up to three items. They can also be powered with redstone.
- Copper Lanterns, torches, chains, and bars - These new decorative blocks can oxidize, allowing you to have variations for decorating your world.
- Lightning rods can now oxidize.
- The design of dyes in the game is revamped.
New Minecraft game drop: Mounts of Mayhem

Aside from the Copper Age update, Mojang also revealed more details about its next Minecraft Game Drop titled Mounts of Mayhem. The next update is releasing this Holiday 2025, featuring new content that might change the game’s combat system and aquatic exploration.
Here is a summary of what you can expect in the next game drop:
- New Weapon: Spear - This tiered weapon will have variants for all types of ingots. The damage will vary based on your speed while holding it. This opens up the idea of jousting competitions in Minecraft.
- New Mob: Nautilus - This new tamable mount lets you explore underwater easily. It also has a dash ability and provides players with oxygen to stay underwater for longer periods. Feed them with Pufferfish until they are tamed.
- Nautilus Armor - You can loot this armor from chests in the world. There are copper, iron, gold, diamond, and netherite variants.
- Drowned Zombies can also ride a Nautilus.
- Zombie Horses can spawn with zombie riders wielding spears.

It will feature new fishing mechanics and a wide variety of fish to catch. Your goal is to fill up your fish encyclopedia. You will learn about where they usually spawn, how endangered these aquatic creatures are, and more.
