Check out the esports.gg build guide on mastering the mage hero Cyclops in Mobile Legends and bombard your enemies with endless skill shots.
Cyclops is a mage hero in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) that can deliver strong poke pressure on enemies thanks to the fact that his ability cooldowns get reduced if he hits enemies with it. This makes him very annoying to deal with in the laning phase.
However, there is a problem with this hero. His ability has a short range. This forces you to get uncomfortably close to enemies to land hits. This is why this hero is rarely picked in competitive matches. Nonetheless, he is a decent pocket pick that you can play for both Mid Lane and in the Jungle.
To help you get started, here is a build guide for Cyclops in MLBB, including the best items, emblem, combos, and hero counters.
Skill analysis for Cyclops in MLBB
Passive: Starlit Hourglass
Each time Cyclops hits an enemy with his skills, all his skill cooldowns are reduced slightly.
Skill 1: Stardust Shock
Cyclops casts two Stardust Disks, each dealing Magic Damage to enemies in its path.
Skill 2: Planets Attack
Cyclops conjures Starlit Spheres around himself and gains increased Movement Speed for a short duration. The spheres automatically seek out and attack nearby enemies, prioritizing heroes, and explode on contact to deal Magic Damage. Enemies hit by multiple spheres take reduced damage after the first hit.
Ultimate: Star Power Lockdown
Cyclops creates a Planetary Sphere and sends it toward a target enemy hero or Creep, dealing Magic Damage and immobilizing them for a short duration that increases with travel distance.
Best Cyclops item build in MLBB
Use this recommended item build for Cyclops in Mobile Legends:
Mid Lane Cyclops

If you are playing in the Mid Lane, start with Magic Boots for the Cooldown Reduction. To never run out of Mana, get an Enchanted Talisman. For your third item, buy Concentrated Energy for the Hybrid Lifesteal and stacking Magic Power increase.
Once you reach mid to late game, you need to have a bit of sustain. Go for Oracle to increase the healing and shield effects you receive. Follow it up with Queen's Wings to reduce your chances of getting one-shot by assassins. Lastly, Divine Glaive is an optional item if you want more Magic Penetration.
If you are struggling to survive team fights, switch your last item to Immortality. Alternatively, you can also have Winter Crown.
Jungle Cyclops

The Jungle Cyclops build is slightly similar to the Mid Lane version, but more focused on burst damage. You need to have Magic Boots with Ice Retribution for this one. Followed by Enchanted Talisman and Concentrated Energy.
In the mid to late game, go for Wishing Lantern for massive damage against high HP targets. Follow it up with Divine Glaive for the Magic Penetration, then Glowing Wand for the healing reduction debuff. If you need a bit of sustenance, you can swap one of your last two items for a Blood Wings that grants a regenerating shield.

Recommended emblem and battle spell for Cyclops
This emblem set should complement the item build for Cyclops in Mobile Legends:

The Emblem set for Cyclops is highly similar for both roles, with very small changes. You will still be using the Custom Mage Emblem for Mid Lane and Jungle. For the first slot, go for Agility to get extra Movement Speed. This can be handy to stick close to enemies and hit them with your abilities while they run away.
In the second slot, go for Wilderness Blessing if you are playing Mid Lane. This makes you run faster in the river or jungle camps. Good for rotating as a Mid Laner.
For Jungle, you must equip Seasoned Hunter in the second or middle slot. This will increase your damage against jungle creeps and major objectives like the Lord and Turtle. Without it, you won't have enough damage when trying to contest for these objectives in the game.
For the final slot, go for Impure Rage for the extra damage and mana regen. Alternatively, you can also go for Lethal Ignition if you can hit your skill shots accurately for the burn damage.
For battle Spells, Sprint is good for chasing enemies or running away from danger. If you are playing Jungle, it is mandatory that you equip Retribution. This will allow you to deal burst damage on major objectives, minions, and smaller neutral creeps. The Ice Rertribution can also be used on enemy heroes to briefly slow them down.
Easy combos to learn on Cyclops
Cyclops is a very straightforward hero with a very simple combo. You simply throw anything you have at the enemy, and if they hit, your cooldowns are reduced.

Skill 1 has the shortest cooldown out of all the abilities Cyclops has. Use this to clear minion waves or jungle camps. You will also be starting fights with this skill, unless you are chasing an enemy or have them within range for your Ultimate.
Skill 2 grants temporary movement speed while generating orbs that home in on enemies if they are close enough. Although this is a single ability cast, each orb counts as a separate attack, allowing all hits to individually reduce the cooldown of your abilities.

Your Ultimate moves very slowly. However, the stun duration can increase based on its travel distance. You usually want to cast this ability first so the cooldown gets reduced by all your other abilities.
Hero and item counters for Cyclops in Mobile Legends
Now that you know the capabilities of Cyclops and his item build in MLBB, you should also be aware of how you can counter this hero.
Hero counters
Cyclops has very low survivability as he has no means of escape built into his kit. This is why assassins like Hayabusa, Nolan, and Ling can easily take him down.
Alternatively, you can use high-sustain heroes like Alice, Faramis, or Fredrinn to get close and soak up damage for your team.
Item counters
Cyclops relies on multi-hit abilities to deal Magic Damage. Radiant Armor is the best item against him as this item grants stacking Magic Defence with each hit taken, which can add up easily if you are a Tank. Alternatively, you can go for Athena's Shield for the temporary defense boost.
For Fighters and Marksman, Immortality is another option for the revive effect. As for Mage, Winter Crown is a good alternative.
