Geisha or ninja? Both, please! Kaze in Brawl Stars: details and guide

The girl is totally unique! She is the first-ever brawler of the Ultra Legendary rarity tier. This affects her abilities in Brawl Stars matches: Kaze is versatile but somewhat complicated.

A humble geisha during the day and a deadly ninja literally at any time — Brawl Stars Kaze easily changes her persona and battle kits. You only need to use her special Gadget, and the character transforms entirely. This Ultra Legendary brawler has you covered in many dangerous situations!

Kaze is not your easiest Brawl Stars character. You need to remember her different abilities and switch between them at the best moments. However, the extended kit is pretty beneficial, and you get more tools in the game: from switching between attack ranges to activating healing to survive big clashes.

Unlocking Kaze is a big deal. She is unusually expensive in the Brawl Stars shop, and her presence on Starr Road doesn’t make her too accessible.

How to play Brawl Stars Kaze: Guide

The two versions of this Ultra Legendary character in Brawl Stars have very distinguishable playing styles. Just imagine what you would expect from a pleasant geisha and from a ninja warrior. In general, it’s what you get from Kaze.

  • As a geisha, Kaze focuses on close-range and mid-range attacks. Dealing big damage in this form requires skill.
  • As a ninja, Kaze is more straightforward. She deals good damage at a big range and becomes a deadly machine with her Super.

Switching between these modes should be an essential part of your gameplan with Kaze! Geisha and ninja support each other: Gadgets have positive side effects on the other form, so choose one wisely.

Geisha form

The battle abilities of geisha Kaze are tricky. You need to understand the specific features of her kit and then use them to the best effect.

  • Main attack: Kaze's Delivery Service. You create a pretty big attacking circle around Kaze, and she hits opponents within this area.

On the one hand, Brawl Stars makes the aim with Kaze easier. However, to deal really good damage, you need to hit within a small section of the attacking circle. It is called Strike Spot, and the game resets its position after each attack. The precision of your offensive actions will be greatly rewarded.

  • Super: Fan Storm. Kaze creates a circle with her swirling geisha fans. Everyone inside it can’t see what’s going on outside. Touching the edge harms one significantly. Kaze herself can walk around freely.

The power of this Super intensifies with a specific Star Power — Gratuity Included takes away ammo from opponents caught in the Fan Storm circle. Check out our section with Kaze’s best build for details.

Ninja form

Dealing big damage is the main focus of Kaze as a ninja. She turns into a deadly and pretty simple brawler.

  • Main attack: Silent Shuriken. Your Ultra Legendary Brawl Stars character shoots two projectiles. The range is good, but the damage is higher when the victim is close to Kaze.

Long-reaching shots can be useful in all Brawl Stars modes. You need to keep a distance and spam those shurikens.

  • Super: Fist of the Brawl Star. It’s an impressively long dash by Kaze. The girl applies an explosive star on every opponent she passes by. After a short delay, the explosion happens and takes away a huge chunk of the victim’s health.

It’s a nice killing tool on already damaged characters. Also, your teammates can seal the deal with those who survived Kaze’s Super.

Combos is the name of the game with Kaze

What makes this Ultra Legendary character extremely valuable in your Brawl Stars roster is that Kaze can switch her forms between actions and create clever combos with her abilities. It’s more about using Gadgets with side effects. Some possible combos are the following.

  • Fan Storm (geisha's Super) to Silent Shuriken (ninja’s Main) from outside the circle.
  • Fist of the Brawl Star (ninja's Super) to Gadget with healing effect (prevent losing Kaze) or dashing effect (reach a safe distance).
  • Kaze's Delivery Service (geisha's Main) with the slow-down effect to Fist of the Brawl Star (ninja's Super) — it’s easier to apply the explosive stars on slower opponents.

Some practice with Brawl Stars Kaze will let you feel how to connect the different abilities of these two forms into one stream of effective actions. Combos strongly depend on your build for Kaze.

The best build for Kaze in Brawl Stars

Like all the other Brawl Stars characters, Kaze has two Starr Powers and two Gadgets. Here is Kaze’s best build.

  • Star Power 2: Gratuity Included

In the geisha form, Kaze takes away all ammo from her opponents caught in the Fan Storm circle. They are easy victims for the main attacks, and they are damaged significantly trying to escape.

The ninja form benefits from a bigger damage with Kaze’s Super. After defeating the main victims, the explosions affect opponents nearby.

  • Gadget 1: Gracious Host

After switching to the geisha form, this gadget heals Kaze. It’s a great effect for all sorts of situations in Brawl Stars.

As a ninja, Kaze receives additional speed.

The other Star Power and Gadgets also can be effective. Star Power 1: Advanced Techniques slows down opponents affected by the geisha’s Strike Spot — it requires better precision of actions. Ninja Kaze has longer side effects of the equipped Gadget, which is generally helpful. Gadget 2: Hensojutsu gives invisibility after switching to the ninja and a dash after becoming the geisha.

As for Gears, Damage can intensify the attack’s effect even further, which is great for both forms, and especially for ninja Kaze. Shield is very helpful after using the ninja’s Super.

Brawl Stars Kaze’s Hypercharge is one for both forms. With it, Fan Storm damages opponents inside. The ninja has a quicker dash for her Super, and she kills opponents instantly if their health is low enough for this.

How to unlock Kaze for free

After the initial release, Kaze was added to the Brawl Stars shop as a temporary offer. The price is very high, though — $50. It feels like a lot even with all the additional items in the bundle and even with having Kaze at her maximum level.

However, the character can be a nice addition to your memories from the Battle for Katana Kingdom season.

On June 5, Kaze joins Starr Road, so you can unlock her for free.

  • As an Ultra Legendary brawler, Kaze costs 5,000 Credits.

You need to grind for Brawl Stars trophies a lot to add Kaze to your roster. It’s the most valuable character in the game.

The full release of Kaze happens around the start of the new Brawl Pass season. Be ready to battle mighty monsters during Crush the Kaiju! Also do not miss an epic addition to the game modes: Brawl Arena introduces MOBA-style matches in Brawl Stars.
