Who is Sylus?

Sylus is an enigma, a mysterious and powerful red-eyed man from Love and Deepspace. In Linkon City, everyone whispers his name, desperate to uncover his true identity. They fear him, yet no one knows exactly what he looks like. No one knows a thing about his past, nor does he talk about it.

The main character’s first encounter with Sylus happened during an investigation into the murder of a researcher from the Even Group — an organization entangled with Onychinus, the dominant force in Zone N109. At the time, she recorded Sylus' voice without knowing who he was yet. Unlike other criminal factions, Onychinus is everywhere. Their influence runs deep, a vast and intricate web of corruption that entangles every illicit enterprise in the city — and Sylus controls it.

Later in the story, a "Man In Black" tries to kill the main character, and Sylus protects her by disintegrating the bullet and the man. And it's when she recognized who that mysterious voice was from. When she looks at his red eyes, she feels something different, something she has never felt before. Like they were connected by a thread. Sylus says they are kindred spirits, and then she blacks out.

A deeper connection

In the next days, he tries to resonate with her, but that doesn't work out since her mind is incapable of blocking the back emotions connected to him. She believes he was responsible for the explosion at her grandma's house that apparently killed her and her childhood friend, Caleb. When she says how much she wants to kill him, he gives her a gun, but she is incapable of firing it — unlike him, because he fires against himself and she watches his heart regenerating like nothing happened.

Their inability to resonate with one another led Sylus to consider a different approach. He brought the main character to Philip, the owner of the Odd Workshop — a man who once shared a deep resonance with her grandmother long ago. In the industrial sprawl of the N109 Zone, the main character uncovers a crucial truth: Sylus was not responsible for the attack on her family’s home.

Despite this revelation, her hostility lingers, and they can't truly connect. After several failed attempts, she begins wandering through the N109 Zone, determined to gather more information about Sylus on her own. There is not much about Sylus in LADS' main story, but we expect new updates coming soon.

Romance

In a few dates with Sylus, you will see a cute, sweet, and lovely boy under all that darkness. Your interactions will be filled with charm and seduction. Though prone to violence, Sylus lives by a strict moral code. He honors every deal, upholds every oath, and never breaks a promise — whether it’s a chilling threat or a solemn vow. Sylus also has a soft spot for Mephisto, this mechanical crow. In one of the episodes, he explained he had no part in setting Mephisto's personality program, which means he developed himself, just like a real crow. Sylus always says not to treat Mephisto as a pet. It is also a very intelligent animal that wanders in the city to gather important intel.

Sylus' past

In Sylus' second myth in LADS, Beyond Cloudfall, it's revealed that he was the last dragon to rule over Philos, long before the rise of humanity. It is in this ancient era that he first encounters the main character — a sorceress condemned and cast out by her own kind. At that time, the main character ends up saving Sylus from imprisonment. However, to accomplish that, she needs to pay a price — her soul. That's why they are connected in some way. There is still a lot about Sylus to be revealed, but we have to wait for more updates.

Sylus hobbies

Sylus loves shiny and expensive things. He won't hold himself back. What he wants, he gets. He is also an audiophile, avid record collector, and a champion boxer. Sylus has a very soft spot for animals, including plushies. He loves to sing, but he only does that in front of the main character when she insists on hearing him.

Sylus has a surprising fondness for fine wine and well-crafted meals. In Video Call: Instant Noodles, he casually admits to eating far more than anyone would expect from someone with his lean, calculating exterior. This insatiable hunger may be more than a personal quirk. According to the Beyond Cloudfall myth, traces of his dragon lineage still linger — fiendish greed, an endless appetite, and a curious obsession with hoarding glittering stones and rare treasures. It's less habit and more instinct, echoing a primal past he rarely speaks of. And this is Sylus from Love and Deepspace.
