What pack to open to find each Genetic Apex card in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Pokémon TCG Pocket is a mobile card-collecting game that allows players to build digital binders, make decks, and battle their friends. Since the game's release, it has taken mobile gaming by storm, even earning a nomination nod for Best Mobile Game this year. So much of what makes this game so entertaining, yet also challenging, fits right in with the old tagline of Pokémon, "Gotta catch 'em all."

So, here's our guide on how to round out your collection, laying out all of the cards that come in each of the three Genetic Apex card packs in Pokémon TCG Pocket so that you can catch 'em all yourself.

Many times I have been looking for a specific card or two in Pokémon TCG Pocket, but I haven't known which pack to open. But, thanks to this helpful infographic from @PokeGirlLauren on X, you can see what cards come specific to each of the three packs, and which ones you can get in any of them.

This chart shows that there are not many cards that are simply available in all three of the packs, and some of the game's most coveted and most meta cards are locked behind certain packs, like the standard rare Mewtwo EX and Pikachu EX cards. Many Grass, Colorless, Fighting, Darkness, and Water-type cards, however, can be found in each pack, with slight variations to each.

One silver lining is that each of the three Genetic Apex packs has a chance to drop the three Crown Rare cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket. So, if you are looking for the rarest cards in the game right now, you don't need to be too worried about what pack you are opening.
