The latest Pokémon GO event brings Rookidee and Corviknight to the game, but how do you get them?
The Steeled Resolve event in Pokémon GO brings the debut of Rookidee, Corvisquire and Corviknight to the game. Corviknight in particular looks like it will be a must-have Pokémon in PvP, with it having no less than ten resistances in the game.
However, as with most Pokémon GO events recently, it's not as simple as just finding Rookidee in the wild. You'll need to work a little bit harder to get your hands on this Pokémon.
So, here is how you can get Rookidee and Corviknight in Pokémon GO.
How do you get Rookidee in Pokémon GO?
Rookidee won't be spawning in the wild in Pokémon GO during the Steeled Resolve event. However, there are two other ways you can get your hands on this new Pokémon.
From the start of the event, any 2 km Eggs that you collect in Pokémon GO will have a special pool of Pokémon. These are:
- Shieldon
- Carbink
- Mareanie
- Rookidee
That means you can get Rookidee, and then Corviknight by hatching 2 km Eggs in Pokémon GO. Remember that any 2 km Eggs you already had won't contain Rookidee. You will have to collect them by spinning PokéStops after 10 a.m. local time on Jan. 21.
Additionally, you don't have to hatch these Eggs during the event. As long as they are collected after the event starts, and before the event ends on Jan. 26 at 8 p.m. local time they will have the special event-themed Egg hatch pool.
There is also another way to get Rookidee. It will be attracted to Magnetic Lure Modules during the event. Other Pokémon will also be attracted, including Onix, Beldum and Shieldon. The odds so far are looking pretty good for getting Rookidee, so don't worry if your first few spawns are other Pokémon.
A great way to get Magnetic Lure Modules is by winning PokéStop showcases. The free Steeled Resolve Timed Research also contains one.

How to get Corviknight in Pokémon GO
To get Corviknight in Pokémon GO you will first need to get Rookidee using the methods above. Then, you can use 25 Rookidee Candy to evolve Rookidee into Corvisquire and 100 Rookidee Candy to evolve Corvisquire into Corviknight.
That is a lot of candy, so you will need to catch a few Rookidee first. Using Pinap Berrys, or Rare Candy, will speed this process up.
There is an additional bonus for doing this evolution during the event. Any Corvisquire evolved into Corviknight during the event will learn the Charged Attack Iron Head. This is very good for PvP so don't miss out.
