Take on the powerful Mega Latias in Pokémon GO with our Raid Guide.
Mega Latias is back in Pokémon GO Six Star Mega Raids from December 19 until December 26. This will include a Raid Hour on Christmas Day, December 25.
Mega Latias, like Mega Latios, is a very strong Pokémon in Pokémon GO. It features as both a good Psychic-type and Dragon-type Raid Attacker in the game. However, as it appears in Six Star Raids, it can be pretty difficult to take down. Thankfully, it shares a typing with Latios so you should already be well prepared.
So, here is everything you need to know to take on Mega Latias in Pokémon GO.
Best Mega Latias counters in Pokémon GO:
Mega Latias has a weakness to Bug, Dark, Dragon, Fairy, Ghost and Ice-type attacks in Pokémon GO. It has resistances to Electric, Fighting, Fire, Grass, Psychic and Water-type attacks.

Both Origin Forme Palkia, and Origin Forme Dialga feature as good counters. These two Pokémon just returned in the Pokémon GO Wild Area event, which means you should also have one or both of these Pokémon ready to take on this Raid.
Additionally both of the Necrozma fusion forms, Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma are good counters for this Raid. If you didn't play Pokémon GO Fest 2024, hopefully you played on Necrozma Raid Day and now have these fusions in your collection.
