Get your hands on a Dynamax Wooloo.
The Pokémon GO To the Max! Special Research has released alongside the arrival of Power Spots and Max Particles in Pokémon GO.
This Special Research is designed to ease you into the new Dynamax Pokémon mechanic that is releasing during Pokémon GO Max Out. This will let you get your first Max Particles, visit Power Spots and encounter your first Dynamax Pokémon.
Pokémon GO: To the Max! Special Research
This Special Research will be avaliable to Trainers once Power Spots begin appearing in their area. This is happening at around 12pm, September 4 2024. Some Trainers have reported this happening a little bit later, so be patient. You'll need to restart your game to see the rollout.
This Special Research is designed as somewhat of a tutorial to introduce you to the new mechanics. As a result, to complete it, you'll need to get out and about.

The main reward for completing this Research is getting a Dynamax Wooloo. There are currently no Max Battles in the game, so this is the only way to get a Dynamax Pokémon at the moment. Excitingly, it can also be Shiny. The odds are the standard 1/512, so you'd have to get very lucky, but it is possible.
