Prepare your item bag
A key aspect to prepare is to take time to get your bag ready for Pokémon GO Unova Tour: Global. You want to make sure you have a good supply of Poké Balls. Some of the spawns have pretty low catch rates so you'll need a lot of balls. If your bag is full, throw away regular Pokéballs in favour of Great and Ultra Balls.
You also need to make sure you have enough space for Pokémon. The day before, and the time between the two Unova Tour Global days is a great chance to clean out your bag. Trade or transfer all those Pokémon you don't need to clear as much space as possible.
Finally, grab any Incubators, Lucky Eggs and Star Pieces that you want to use this weekend if you're prepared to spend some coins in the store. There are a lot of bundles in-game and on the Web Store.

Pokémon GO Unova Tour: Global best spawns
As you'd expect, all the Unova Tour spawns are Pokémon that first appeared in the Unova region. Some of these are more exciting than others, based on how much they have featured or if they have had a recent Community Day for example.
However, what is really exciting about a Tour event is that every wild spawn can be shiny. This is a great chance to try and make some serious inroads into your shiny Unova collection.
Spawns, like usual, are split into four rotating habitats. We have selected some of the best Pokémon in each habitat if you are looking for specific Pokémon to focus on during the Unova Tour this weekend.
Here is the habitat schedule for the event:
- Winter Caverns: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. local time
- Spring Soiree: 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. local time
- Summer Vacation: 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time
- Autumn Masquerade: 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time

Pokémon GO Unova Tour: Global Raids
Raids are a huge focus during the Unova Tour, with the new debuts of Black Kyurem and White Kyurem. You can battle Zekrom, Reshiram, Black Kyurem and White Kyurem across both days of the event. This will allow you to gather the Volt and Blaze Fusion Energy you need to successfully Fuse Reshiram and Zekrom with Kyurem.
Need to do more Raids than time allows? Remote Raids are unlimited during Pokémon GO Unova Tour: Global.

Best Mega Pokémon to use
The best mega Pokémon to use this weekend is Mega Rayquaza by far. Especially if you have one at Mega Level 3. It will boost the candy rewards from Dragon, Psychic and Flying-types. This will hit the Pokémon in Raids, as well as plenty of the wild spawns. It also directly counters Resiram, Zekrom as well as both forms of Kyurem.
Good luck this weekend, Trainers!
