Take on Regidrago in Pokémon GO with our Raid Guide.

Regidrago is back in Pokémon GO as part of the Max Out Finale event, after having previously only been avaliable through Elite Raids. That means for a lot of Trainers this could be the first time they are able to get their hands on this Pokémon in the game.

Being honest, Regidrago isn't a great Pokémon in Pokémon GO. There are lots of better Dragon-type Pokémon you can use, but as always Raids are a great chance to grind candy, chase a shiny and complete your PokéDex.

Here is everything you need to know before you take on Regidrago in Pokémon GO.

Best Regidrago counters in Pokémon GO:

Regidrago has a weakness to Dragon, Fairy and Ice-type attacks in Pokémon GO. It has a resistance to Electric, Fire, Grass and Water-type attacks.

Thankfully, there are a lot of excellent options to take on this Raid in Pokémon GO.

Mega Rayquaza
Dragon Tail & Breaking Swipe
Mega Garchomp
Dragon Tail & Outrage
Mega Gardevoir
Charm & Dazzling Gleam
Origin Forme Dialga
Dragon Breath & Roar of Time
Mega Salamence
Dragon Tail & Draco Meteor
Origin Forme Palkia
Dragon Tail & Spacial Rend
Mega Latios
Dragon Breath & Dragon Claw
Rayquaza
Dragon Tail & Breaking Swipe
Dialga
Dragon Breath & Draco Meteor
Mega Latias
Dragon Breath & Outrage
Xerneas
Geomancy & Moonblast
Tapu Lele
Confusion & Nature's Madness

There are some really powerful Dragon-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO to use in this Raid battle. Mega Rayquaza is the best choice avaliable in Pokémon GO to beat Regidrago, closely followed by Mega Garchomp and then Mega Gardevoir.

Rayquaza, outside of its Mega Form, is also a fantastic choice. If you have several Rayquaza in your storage, lining up several of them would form a very powerful team.

Both Origin Forme Palkia and Origin Forme Dialga that were recently in Raids during the Pokémon GO Wild Area event are excellent counters. Of course, they are best with their Signature Attacks Spacial Rend and Roar of Time but they will also be great with Draco Meteor.

Can Regidrago be shiny in Pokémon GO?

Yes, for the first time ever, Regidrago can be shiny after your Raid in Pokémon GO.
