Take on Regieleki in Pokémon GO with our Raid Guide.

Regieleki is back in Pokémon GO as part of the Max Out Finale event, after having previously only been avaliable through difficult Elite Raids. That means for a lot of Trainers this could be the first time they are able to get their hands on this Pokémon in the game.

Like it's counterpart in Raids this week, Regieleki isn't really a very useful Pokémon. These Raids are a good chance to get your Dex entry, shiny entry and grind XP, Stardust and candy in the game.

Here is everything you need to know to take on Regieleki in Pokémon GO.

Best Regieleki counters in Pokémon GO:

Regieleki has a weakness to Ground-type attacks in Pokémon GO. It has three resistances, to Electric, Flying and Steel-type attacks.

Here are the best Regieleki counters in Pokémon GO:

Primal Groudon
Mud Shot & Precipice Blades
Mega Garchomp
Mud Shot & Earth Power
Therian Landorus
Mud Shot & Sandsear Storm
Excadrill
Mud-Slap & Scorching Sands
Mega Swampert
Mud Shot & Earthquake
Mamoswine
Mud-Slap & High Horsepower
Rhyperior
Mud-Slap & Earthquake
Incarnate Landorus
Mud Shot & Earth Power
Mega Sceptile
Fury Cutter & Earthquake
Ursaluna
Tackle & High Horsepower
Mega Rayquaza
Dragon Tail & Outrage
Groudon
Mud Shot & Precipice Blades

Even though Regieleki only has one weakness, there are still a lot of options you can use to take on this Raid. There are even some non-Ground-type Pokémon that can learn Ground-type moves.

The absolute best Pokémon to take on Regieleki in Pokémon GO is Primal Groudon. This is a very powerful Ground-type Pokémon and will make light work of this Raid. Of course, because you can only have one Primal or Mega Evolved Pokémon at a time, you will need other Pokémon in your team. Strong Ground-types like Therian Landorus and non-primal Groudon's will be excellent in this Raid too.

Additionally, Primal Groudon has just been in Primal Raids during the Pokémon GO Wild Area event so hopefully all Trainers have one or two in their Storage by now.

Can Regieleki be shiny in Pokémon GO?

Yes, for the first time ever in Pokémon GO, Regieleki can be shiny.

Mega Evolutions to get you more Regieleki candy in Pokémon GO

Mega Evolutions can help you get more candy and XL candy with every catch. Having a mega level 3 active that boosts candy for Electric-types will give you an extra 2 candy per catch, as well as a 25% bonus to your XL candy chance.

Here are the Pokémon you can Mega Evolve to get more Regieleki candy:

  • Ampharos
  • Manectric
  • Kyogre

How many trainers do I need to beat Regieleki in Pokémon GO?

Regieleki is pretty easy to defeat in Pokémon GO. Higher level Trainers should be able to beat this Raid as a duo. For lower level Trainers, a group of at least four Trainers will be ample to win this Raid.
