The Prismatic Pickaxe is currently the strongest pickaxe that you can get in The Forge, and here’s how you can get it to mine every ore that you want.
Pickaxes are the most essential tool for any player in The Forge, and with the game’s recent update, anyone can now grind to obtain the Prismatic Pickaxe, a tool that deals a whopping 650 damage to rocks.

For those who recently gained access to the Frostspire Expanse region, follow the steps below to get yourself a Prismatic Pickaxe.
How to get the Prismatic Pickaxe in The Forge
Step 1: Complete Sensei Moro 7 quest
Interact with Sensei Moro (the NPC beside the crafting area in Frostspire Expanse) and complete all of his requests. Once you clear the seventh quest, you’ll unlock the Frost Pickaxe at the nearby pickaxe shop.
Step 2: Purchase Frost Pickaxe
Go to Miner Fred’s shop and buy the Frost Pickaxe for $1,000,000. Getting this pickaxe alone will already require hours’ worth of grind, so try to work your way by purchasing the Aqua Pickaxe first, just so you can break tougher rocks with higher-quality ores.
After the Aqua Pickaxe, aim for the Snow Pickaxe before going for the Frost Pickaxe. You can make your pickaxe farming easier by selling your old pickaxes, which are still worth a ton of money, before buying a new one.
Other than farming essences, you can also gain lots of money by selling random armor that you crafted using the ores found inside the Spider Cave.
Step 3: Find and enter the hole in Frostspire Expanse's frozen pond
With the Frost Pickaxe in your inventory, it’s time to find the frozen pond in Frostspire Expanse. To locate the frozen pond, you’ll need to use the in-game compass at the top of your screen.
From the spawn point in Frostspire Expanse, make your way south until you reach a dock. From the dock, head northeast, through the narrow passage, and head south again. Here, you’ll find the region’s frozen pond.
On the pond’s left side, you’ll see a hole. Go inside and swim your way downward until you reach a cave with an ice wall that blocks your path.
Step 4: Use your Frost Pickaxe to break the ice wall
If you look closely through the ice wall, you’ll see the Prismatic Pickaxe on the other side. Equip your Frost Pickaxe to break the ice wall. This wall requires 420 base damage to break, so another pickaxe with higher damage than the Frost Pickaxe can also do the trick (i.e., the Void Pickaxe and Christmas Pickaxe).
Step 5: Purchase The Forge's Prismatic Pickaxe for $2,000,000
Once you can reach the Prismatic Pickaxe, you’ll need $2,000,000 to purchase it. Yes, it’s double the price of the Frost Pickaxe, so if you don’t have enough money, you have days of farming ahead of you.
