The Corrupted Kitsune is arguably the best Pet that you can get right now, especially if you want to earn billions of Sheckles in the game.
After the highly praised admin abuse courtesy of Jandel and his guest Travis Kelce, Grow a Garden players can now have the chance to obtain a Corrupted Kitsune, a variant of the Kitsune Pet that made its debut in the Zen Update.
While it does look like a mutated form of the Kitsune, it’s actually a completely different pet with a unique trait. This pet’s trait has caught the attention of many players, and if you’re curious too, this guide covers what it does and other must-know details.
Corrupted Kitsune’s trait in Grow a Garden

Once active in your garden, a Corrupted Kitsune can trigger its trait called Nine-Tailed Curse every 20 minutes. Nine-Tailed Curse allows the Corrupted Kitsune to shoot cursed energy balls at nine different fruits. If a fruit gets hit by a cursed energy ball, it has a 20.25% chance to get the Corrupt Chakra Mutation and a significantly rarer chance to get the Corrupt Foxfire Chakra Mutation.
Judging by its trait, it’s definitely better than most mutation-inflicting pets in the game, especially if you’re fortunate enough to have the Corrupt Foxfire Chakra Mutation on one of your most expensive crops.
The Corrupt Chakra Mutation has a value multiplier of 15, which is the same as the regular Kitsune’s Chakra Mutation and a bit lower than other mutations like Corrupted and Gold. On the other hand, the Corrupt Foxfire Chakra Mutation has a value multiplier of 90, making it one of the highest-valued limited-time mutations in the game, just after the Paradisal and Disco.
Compared to the Kitsune, the Corrupted Kitsune is a better option for players who prefer private servers, as it directly mutates crops within their own garden instead of mutating the duplicated harvests from others. Additionally, the chances of it mutating multiple fruits are fairly high, as the pet essentially has nine opportunities to trigger the 20.25% mutation rate on any of your crops.

How to Get the Corrupted Kitsune

You can acquire the Corrupted Kitsune Pet from the Kitsune Chest for a staggering chance of 1%. A Kitsune chest is a new item obtainable only during the Corrupted Event by talking to the Kitsune NPC at the center of the map.
If you’re willing to spend some real money for Robux, you can also take your chances on some Exotic Kitsune Chests at the Shop, which cost 199 Robux for one, 575 Robux for three, and 1,699 Robux for ten.
The Kitsune NPC will only reward you with the Kitsune Chest if you help restore the balance by submitting five crops with the Tranquil Mutation and five with the Corrupted Mutation. On both sides of the Kitsune, you’ll see two wooden circles that serve as counters for the number of Tranquil and Corrupted crops that you have already submitted.

Each time you submit a Tranquil crop, a portion of the counter on the right will light up, and the same thing will happen on the left counter if you submit a Corrupted crop. Submitting a fruit with both the Tranquil and Corrupted mutations will light up both counters.
