This new item will give you a boost for fighting those bulky Brainrots!
Ever heard of the Witch Potion in Plants Vs Brainrots? Here’s everything you need to know about it, including some tips to maximize its effect.
In one of Plants Vs Brainrots’ latest updates, there’s another potion that you can acquire, although having one depends on luck. This potion is called the Witch Potion, a Halloween-themed item available at the Spooky Event section within Central Island.
What does the Witch Potion do?
Unlike the Riot Potion, which affects the flow of attacking Brainrots, the Witch Potion improves the chances of your newly planted seeds gaining a mutation once they become fully grown plants.
In case you didn’t know yet, plant mutations are incredibly rare in the game, with every plant having less than a 1% chance of gaining most of the available mutations, namely Diamond, Ruby, and Neon.

Gold is currently the mutation with the highest chance of inflicting a plant, which is roughly 4.45%. Mutated plants in Plants Vs Brainrots possess a certain amount of damage multiplier, making them more powerful than regular plants.
While the Witch Potion doesn’t guarantee a mutated plant spawn, increasing the mutation odds is still quite a promising boost, especially if you have lots of Secret seeds from the latest admin abuse event.
Obtaining a Witch Potion in Plants Vs Brainrots
The only way to get a Witch Potion is by opening a Candy Spooky Crate in the Central Island’s Spooky Event shop. A Candy Spooky Crate costs 50 Candy, and opening one has a 10% chance of giving you a Witch Potion.

You can get lots of Candy by simply staying online as long as you can during the Halloween Event. To be more specific, you’ll get a certain amount of Candy every time your plants defeat the following Brainrots:
- Candycorn
- Headless
- Pumpkin
Triggering that 10% chance might take time for some players, so be patient in farming Candy if you want to purchase more Candy Spooky Crates. If you’re lucky, you might witness a limited-time Halloween event, where all Brainrots turn into Pumpkins, giving you more Candy in the process.
Tips for using the Witch Potion
- Don’t use your Witch Potion right away. Save it once you have collected a number of Secret seeds.
- The best plants that you can grow while the Witch Potion effect is active are Starfruit, King Limone, Mango, and Shroombino. These plants have the highest damage output in the game, so try using your Witch Potion before mass planting them.
- The effect of Witch Potion only lasts for a few minutes, so to make the most out of it, use Water Buckets on your growing plants so they will spawn before the effect wears out.
- Avoid using the Witch Potion after you’ve planted the seeds. You have to apply the potion first (you’ll see a witch icon on the lower right of your screen once it’s in effect) before planting.
