Clay is one of many essential resources you’ll need to mine and put to use in building and crafting while playing RuneScape: Dragonwilds.
There are tons of resources you'll come across in RuneScape: Dragonwilds. You've got your wood from trees, stone from boulders, and other materials you'll find out in the world. One of those is clay, which is an essential resource in RuneScape: Dragonwilds a short while into any playthrough.
You may get lucky and stumble across it, but if you don't, we're here to help show you where to mine it and what it is used for.
Where to find clay and how to mine it in RuneScape: Dragonwilds
The game will eventually lead you to an area with clay. If you aren't looking for it and strictly heading towards the objective, though, you can easily miss it. There are different biomes in the world, and clay is most abundant in the swamp.
After you siege the goblin castle, you'll be tasked with heading to the blue-flame door in the Whispering Swamp. That area is where you can find loads of clay nodes in RuneScape: Dragonwilds. And you don't need anything fancy to mine it.
You can use your basic pickaxe that you've been gathering stone and smashing monsters with since you first crafted it. Just start swinging away, which will raise your skill and break up the clay nodes so you can put some of it in your inventory.

How to use clay in RuneScape: Dragonwilds
Clay is used for building structures and stations, as well as crafting with those stations in RuneScape: Dragonwilds. You'll need plenty of clay to add the Kiln, Brewing Station, and more to your base of operations.
Within the Kiln, you'll need clay to create Clay Vessels. This then coincides with crafting in the Brewing Station, as you'll need the Clay Vessels as part of any potions you hope to make. That's what holds them in the recipe.
Then of course, as you level up some of your skills in the game, you'll unlock the ability to craft better weaponry, tools, armor, equipment, etc. You'll need clay for those within the Crafting Table and other stations.
