Prestige is the common name used for a re-up system, and you can set your level back to 1 in The First Descendant if you know how.
A lot of games have a max level that your account or you character can reach. In The First Descendant, you can actually prestige when you hit that maximum level cap. Of course, it isn't called a prestige system in the game. It doesn't actually have a name.
Franchises like Call of Duty, who coined the term "prestige," clearly made it a popular feature. That's why the community calls any system by the word prestige when you are able to reset your level to the beginning.
So, from here on out, that's what we'll call it as that is what you all call it. Let's go over how to make it happen.
How to prestige in The First Descendant
So, the first thing you have to do is reach level 40. There are some tricks to help you level up fast in The First Descendant, which will let you prestige a lot quicker.
From there, you've got to follow some serious steps to make the return to level 1:
- Research a Crystallization Catalyst with Anais
- Alternatively, you can buy one with Caliber or earn one through the Battle Pass
- Wait the 7.5 hours required for the research to complete, or use Caliber to speed up the process
- Open your Inventory and select the Descendant Module
- On the right side, select Module Additional Settings
- Choose Assign Module Socket Type
- Pick a Module Socket Type to place in the Skill Module slot
