Alpha Group - VCT LOCK//IN
The Alpha Group saw 16 teams start in eight single-elimination matches. Only eight teams survived the first round. But that wasn't the end. The teams continued through the group playing elimination match after elimination match until only two teams survived. The two semifinalists from the Alpha Group are LOUD and DRX. They will face each other on March 2 for a spot in the Grand Finals.
Quarterfinals Round of 16 (Feb 22-24)
DRX had a strong performance against Talon but it wasn't without its share of a scare. Talon might have lost but their performance definitely put them high up in the eyes of SEA VALORANT fans.
In the other match of the day, NRG took on LOUD in one of the most epic battles at VCT LOCK//IN. LOUD won the match, but it was definitely one of the most exciting series of the day. Two maps went to overtime, with NRG winning Pearl while LOUD won fracture.

- Best-of-three matches
The VCT LOCK//IN has a single-elimination format where all 30 teams are in a do-or-die for their first matches. Part of it is due to the time available with Riot, where they had to stick to a single-elimination format.
But half of the teams will be out of the tournament after their first match. The inaugural match of the tournament will see KOI esports and NRG go up against each other on Day 1.
