Poland is no stranger to the CS2 esports scene. PGL, a tournament organizer, announced earlier this year that its CS2 circuit will return to Poland after a decade. PGL Kraków 2027 will take place in the Tauron Arena, which can hold a maximum of 22,000 spectators.
This CS2 esports tournament will also be a Tier 1 event, building on PGL Major Kraków 2017's legacy as a groundbreaking competition that set new standards for esports broadcasting with its first-ever 1080p 60 fps stream. PGL Major Kraków 2017 also created unforgettable moments for attendees, according to Silviu Stroie, the CEO of PGL.

Additionally, according to Esports Earnings, Poland now ranks among the top 10 countries worldwide for CS2 and shows a strong and active player base. Data from March 2022 to May 2025 also shows that the game has awarded over $31.7 million in prize money across 662 tournaments worldwide.
At the time of publishing this article, Poland holds the seventh position with $1.3 million in earnings from 166 players. This places Poland just behind Mongolia.
