Atlanta FaZe wins first trophy of the 2024 Call of Duty League season.

Miami has new kings, Atlanta FaZe are the champions of the CDL Stage 2 Major in Miami. Atlanta FaZe reached the grand final of the Stage 2 Major in Miami after winning the competition's winner bracket. The team only gave up one map in the grand final. In the decisive game, FaZe beat OpTic Texas, something they did in the winner final and did again in the grand final.

With this trophy, the team wins its first title of the season. Atlanta FaZe had already come close to their first trophy in Major I, however, the team lost in the final against Toronto Ultra by 4-1.

Atlanta FaZe comes out on top on Stage 2 Major in Miami grand final

The first Hardpoint set a competition record with Chris "Simp" Lehr's streak of 13 kills in the sequence. The player finished the first map with 35/23 KD.

Atlanta FaZe started by controlling OpTic's spawns very well. In the final phase of the map, OpTic came closer in the result, but in the final stretch, FaZe closed the result.

Search and Destroy in Terminal was decided in detail. On the OpTic side, Kenneth "Kenny" Williams was highlighted with impact kills, but also with grenades. For one round, the boys from Texas tied the match.

Control as the third map was summarized once again at a great level and a great balance. Once again deciding on the details, FaZe came out on top with the team's highlight going to Zack "Drazah" Jordan. By OpTic, another good map from Kenny. The last round was a matter of seconds and another example of the great show that the Major II final was being.

On the fourth map, in Hardpoint, FaZe had a better start again but this time OpTic surpassed them in the result twice. The last spawn of the match was decisive for FaZe, managing to overtake their opponent in the result and managing to close the map. Atlanta FaZe was thus one map away from closing the series and lifting the Stage 2 Miami Major trophy.

In the last map, FaZe came out on top 6-4. In this way, Atlanta FaZe is the great champion of Major II in Miami. Drazah again made the same statement he made after the winners final: "I run that org (OpTic)".

Simp - Stage II Miami Major MVP

Simp from Atlanta FaZe was named the MVP of the Stage 2 Major in Miami. The player performed at a very high level throughout the competition and during the final he was no exception. Simp was the team's clear highlight in the grand final and there was no doubt that he would be the competition's MVP.

In addition to the record mentioned in the first map of the grand final, Simp was decisive in several moments of the match.
