Call of Duty: Vanguard weapon tier list

Call of Duty: Vanguard has been out for roughly two weeks and in that time we have seen a select few weapons dominate over the others. We have also seen a few stinkers peek through amongst their betters. It is for that reason that we have compiled our Tier List for all of the weapons within Call of Duty: Vanguard.

The STG is undoubtedly the best gun in Vanguard right now. The gun, which has been massively overpowered at launch, has been the bane of just about every CoD players existence thus far in the game. The MP40 follows close behind it, as it maintains its place in the current meta game as the best all-around SMG in the game. Though the M1928, aka the Thompson, is not going down to its' German counterpart without a fight as it is the best run-and-gun option of all the SMGs in Vanguard. Meanwhile, The Kar98k has also claimed the top spot as far as the snipers go in Vanguard. The Volkssturmgewher is very well-balanced Assault Rifle within the Vanguard meta. It's high ADS makes it an ideal weapon for dealing with those awkward close-range fights and can pack a big enough punch in the medium range. Unlike the STG and the Automaton it isn't all that proficient at dealing with long range fights, which is why it is just below S-Tier. The 3-Line Rifle falls into a similar situation in that it packs a serious punch as far as snipers go, but its' slow ADS means it is a less preferred option to the Kar98k.

As far as the LMGs go, both the MG42 and DP27 are serious slaying machines. Though the MG42 has a fairly slow ADS it more than makes up for it with its raw firepower. The DP27 on the other hand allows for a bit more mobility than the rest of the weapons in its' class, which is a handy thing to have for LMGs. The 1911 is the highest ranked pistol on this list, and it is not without reason. The classic pistol packs a wallop with every shot and, with a relatively high ADS, means you can make a fool out of opponents who think they have the upper hand. Switching to your pistol is, after all, faster than reloading.

These weapons are all, more or less, guaranteed to net you a heap of kills in-game. The M1 Garand is probably one of the most underrated weapons in the game currently, alongside another CoD classic in the BAR. There is also the Machine Pistol and Type-100 which will help you out in a pinch but maybe a less preferred option to some of the higher-ranked weapons. And then there is the Gracey Auto shotgun alongside the Panzerfaust and MK11 Grenade Launcher that is guaranteed to send your opponents into a frenzy when they see you using those weapons.

The C-Tier weapons are an amalgamation of weapons that fall into the "just ok" category. They aren't the best but they certainly aren't the worst. The AS44 and the PPSH-41 suffer from having ridiculously high fire rates without much of a way to temper them. Then you have weapons like the Sten and the Owen Gun which can get you a decent amount of kills, but lack the same amount of oomph as the MP40 and the M1928. Use these at your own leisure, though you may have more fun with the weapons listed in the above tiers.

And now we have reached the absolute worst weapons that Vanguard has to offer players. These are weapons that you are definitely going to struggle to get kills with. Though the Shield certainly comes with its' own type of fun as many CoD players will know from experience. And the Knife pretty much does what it is meant to do, it's just hard to get close enough to people to make it all that effective, as per usual.
