The final Major of the 2025 Call of Duty League (CDL) season is in the books. After a grueling three-day event, the Los Angeles Thieves battled through the elimination bracket to claim their second consecutive victory at Major 4. The LA squad looked solid all week and will be the team to beat at CDL Champs.
Some key moments occurred during the Thieves' impressive run, so let's recap how the event at DreamHack Dallas played out over the weekend.
LA Thieves face adversity on Saturday
The Thieves were unquestionably the top team heading into CDL Major 4 2025. A surging Miami Heretics, who finished first in Stage 4 standings with a 5-0 map count, squared up against the Major 3 Champions.
Miami took down the Los Angeles Thieves on the heels of an ill-timed kill streak involving Major 3 MVP Scrap. From the elimination bracket, the Thieves dismantled the Toronto Ultra, OpTic Texas, and got their revenge on the Heretics.
Atlanta FaZe awaited their rivals, the Los Angeles Thieves, in the Grand Finals, where the reigning Major 3 Champions passed the test of a resilient squad.

The Grand Finals between the FaZe and Thieves played out as they always should. Both teams traded two map wins back and forth. FaZe even managed to take a map three off the Thieves, despite the Thieves being the best Control team.
However, Thieves proved the stronger of the two teams. They claimed victory on map five, followed by a clean sweep on the Hacienda Control. While Scrap claimed the tournament MVP award with a 1.05 K/D in Grand Finals, HyDra had the play of the weekend during the final map.
He single-handedly demolished the Atlanta FaZe, including a knife kill, to help his team secure its second consecutive Major tournament victory. All four players shone throughout the weekend in different ways. However, CDL Champs is the only tournament that matters now, according to Scrap, who said as much on X after the win.
