The Vegas Legion are no more.
The recent rumors of the Saudi Arabia-based Team Falcons securing a spot in the Call of Duty League (CDL) were confirmed today following an announcement by the organization. In place of the former Las Vegas Legion, the Vegas Falcons have officially joined the CDL ahead of the 2024/2025 season. Contrary to previous rumors, the organization will field the same roster as the 2024 Esports World Cup. It's only the first domino to fall, with many other changes expected during the off-season Rostermania period.
The Vegas Falcons replace Legion in the Call of Duty League
C0ntact Gaming, LLC has formally withdrawn from the Call of Duty League and transferred ownership to the Saudi-run Team Falcons brand. That ends a historic run for the Legion, which began as the Paris Legion in 2019 before relocating to Las Vegas in 2022. After spending five years in the CDL, the Legion brand is no more. Instead, the Falcons brand has stepped in as the newest addition to the League.
However, the team will remain tied to Las Vegas despite rumors that the CDL could potentially abandon its city-based model. From a roster perspective, the Vegas Falcons will proceed with the same homegrown Saudi Arabian lineup from the Esports World Cup: Exnid, KingAbody, Roxas, and Khhx. This team finished in the top 16, earning them $20,000.
In its wake, the Vegas Falcons have dropped the previous roster, which included Attach, Gio, oJohnny, and Nero. It's unclear where those four will land as Rostermania continues.

Several prominent esports brands have shown interest in entering the Call of Duty League. The North America-based Cloud9 recently purchased the spot occupied by the New York Subliners. With the Vegas Falcons official, the Boston Breach, Carolina Royal Ravens, and Los Angeles Guerillas could be next to drop out. However, nothing has been confirmed to that effect.
According to verified sources TheGhostofHope and The Rotation, brands interested in entering the Call of Duty League include FNATIC, Gen.G, Team Liquid, and Spacestation Gaming. As it stands, Team Falcons are the latest to make a move as the Vegas Falcons join the CDL.
