Here is the live countdown for CoD Mobile Season 4 Fool's Gold. The season is launching on April 17 at 5 p.m. PT. Season 4 kicks off at the same time for everyone, so this countdown works no matter where you're located.

The official CoD Mobile Season 4 Fool's Gold release date and time is April 17 at 5 p.m. PT. This season features the MG42 LMG and the RC-XD. You can also expect on-theme Weapon Blueprints and Operator Skins, the Dropkick multiplayer mode, and more.

CoD Mobile gets Dropkick mode
Previously teased on CoD Mobile's official page on X and noted through the Season 4 leaks, the Dropkick mode is arriving in Fool's Gold as well. According to Activision, Dropkick is a multiplayer mode where players must fight for control over a briefcase. Players must pick up this briefcase to earn points. Operators on the defending team who fall cannot respawn until the briefcase is dropped.
"The player holding the briefcase is restricted to using a pistol or the briefcase as a melee weapon, a new feature added to the mode for mobile," Activision explained. "Scorestreaks, consumables, and the Operator Skill are unavailable to this player, so stick close to your defenders when carrying the objective. The carrier’s position is broadcast for all to see; hiding is not an option. The team who reaches the target score first wins the match."

In terms of what else to expect in the new season, there's the Tropical Escapade themed event, the New Challenge HQ, a slew of store updates, plus the arrival of the Witch Warden — Final Siege and Mythic MG42, Klepto — Ageless Sands and HBRA3 — Lucid Sands, and Synaptic — Ancient Guardian and SKS — Watcher items for your loadout.
