The Complexity Kickoff Classic gave us our first look at the competitive nature of EA Sports College Football 25.

The first big tournament for College Football 25 was hosted by esports organization Complexity, with their Kickoff Classic. Twelve creators were seeded into a bracket and battled it out on the gridiron.

A nearly seven-hour tournament had some incredible moments in the new college football title, including a game-winning field goal by tournament champion ProblemWright.

It was a long day for some of the competitors, as they outlasted the rest of the field and found themselves in the finals. The last game, to decide the champion, was ProblemWright vs. CleffTheGod.

Here's a look at their journey through the bracket:

  • ProblemWright defeated:
    • Popular
    • Skimbo
    • Mayz
  • CleffTheGod defeated:
    • Gutfoxx
    • Kmac

CleffTheGod started with a bye to the second round as the #2 Seed. ProblemWright was the #8 Seed, but had no problem taking down the #1 Seed in Skimbo in his second match of the day.

So, while you could look at the seeding and consider it an upset, ProblemWright was more than ready to take the fight to CleffTheGod and he won it by the slimmest of margins.

As previously mentioned, the time ran down and a successful field goal by ProblemWright secured the Complexity Kickoff Classic victory. Let's breakdown the final drive.

ProblemWright's Georgia Bulldogs were 21-21 with CleffTheGod's Texas Longhorns. CleffTheGod had just scored a touchdown and landed the PAT to tie the game with just under two minutes remaining.

ProblemWright got the ball back and immediately began to drive downfield. The plan was a rushing attack to chew some of the clock, with multiple runs to the left, right, and center.

With the clock winding down, ProblemWright continued pushing forward and stopped the timer with just three seconds left. He called upon his field goal unit for a 49-yard attempt. It was good, time expired, and the championship was his for the taking.
