More brooms came out of the closet in week two of the Esports Collegiate Conference (ESC) Overwatch 2 regular season. Will we see more 3-0 sweeps continue in week three?
In this week's preview, we take a look back at week two's dominant matches, week three's streamed matchup, and two highlighted week three matches you will not want to miss.
ESC Week 2 Recap
Donuts were handed out to seven teams across the conference in week two. Having zero map wins allowed seven other teams to walk away with wins.
The most surprising donut from week two came from Northeastern University. A rematch of last year's Semifinal between Miami and Northeastern turned into the same result.
Miami taking the win in sweeping fashion has allowed the RedHawks to start off the season undefeated and they are looking solid. A close map one on Samoa almost gave Northeastern some momentum for the series but were shutdown.

Buffalo versus Akron (Overwatch 2): Feb. 6 at 8 p.m. EST*
The University at Buffalo (0-2) come charging in against an undefeated University of Akron (2-0) team. Akron being led by their captain "Tosmino" have shown great strengths in their last two matches against Bowling Green (1-1) and Eastern Michigan (1-1).
With their first chance on broadcast this year they are excited to showcase their talent and a roster that was able to place in the Top 50 of Overwatch teams in the Fall in Overwatch Collegiate Homecoming.
On the other side, Buffalo has started off slow with losses to Bowling Green (1-1) and Ball State (1-1). While Ball State is one of the best teams in the conference and the defending champs, Bowling Green has taken their only loss to Buffalo's competitor this week.
This week on broadcast, Buffalo must come in ready to battle and be confident. They cannot allow Akron's record and wins define the match from the beginning. Expect a good fight out of the Bulls and an awesome series on this week's featured broadcast.
ESC Week 3: Highlighted Matches
Western Michigan versus Ohio (Overwatch 2): Feb. 6 at 8 p.m. EST*
The Western Michigan Broncos (1-1) showed back up on broadcast last week after a tough loss to Ball State in week one to prove that they are no joke.
Able to sweep Toledo (0-2), the Broncos look full steam ahead this week against another tough opponent in the Ohio Bobcats (2-0). Western Michigan has already shown that they are good enough to take a map off one of the best teams in the conference. Now they must do so again and more against this dominant Ohio squad.
An undefeated streak can stay alive this week if Ohio grabs the win over the Broncos. This would put the Bobcats in a solid position later down the line when playoff seeding starts to unravel. A head to head win is always nice to have especially when you still have all the other undefeated teams left to play down the line.
Central Michigan versus Northern Illinois (Overwatch 2): Feb. 6 at 8 p.m. EST*
Central Michigan (1-1) meet up against Northern Illinois (0-2) in ESC week three. The Chippewas of Central Michigan want to continue being in the middle of the pack with a win this week.
Meanwhile, Northern Illinois are hungry for their first win of the season. With Northern Illinois losing to Northeastern (2-0) and Kent State (1-1) so far this season, you cannot count out the Huskies in this battle.
A true challenge for this Central Michigan roster, the winner of this match will put themselves in a good spot for their week four matchups which include Miami University (2-0) and Western Michigan (1-1).
The DPS duel between "Macradical" and "Zack" for Central Michigan and "Flawless" and "Rusty125" for Northern Illinois is what you need to keep an eye on during this series.
