The ESL Pro League (EPL) Season 22 Playoffs go on from Oct. 10 to Oct. 12. These three days are filled with high-stakes Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports matches.
Every win takes teams closer to the trophy. Every loss is a failure with no recovery: it’s unlikely that the 3rd place match can satisfy these guys.

Quarterfinals
- In the first quarterfinal of ESL Pro Leagues Season 22, Team Falcons defeated 3DMAX with a 2:1. The match was close, and 3DMAX managed to take Map 2, Ancient. To win this series, Falcons had to go for overtime on Map 3, Nuke.
Legends collide: Tournament preview
All the currently greatest CS2 teams are here. They carry different recent achievements, but most of them are easy tournament favorites — both by expert logic and by betting odds during ESL Pro League S22. Let’s highlight a few participants.
- Despite not winning any tournaments in the second half of 2025, Team Vitality remains an exceptional force. We expect them to recover and bring the Vitality era back — and this can happen with this EPL.
- MOUZ players are obviously tired of being the second team. They certainly can hit hard this time and finally lift a big trophy.
- Spirit declined into a struggle period after two big wins: at IEM Cologne 2025 and BLAST Bounty Fall 2025. During Stage 2 of EPL Season 22, the team showed signs of recovery. Still, we need to check this assumption in matches versus really strong opponents.
- Team Falcons won all their matches in Stage 2, and those were clashes against other top teams: NAVI and MOUZ. There is a good chance this star roster has a synergy boost for EPL Season 22.
However big a tournament the ESL Pro League Season 22 is, the main excitement of the season happens in November — it’s the StarLadder Budapest Major. All the teams from the EPL Playoffs were already invited to the Major.
At the start of November, we can see some of them playing at IEM Chengdu 2025.
