Vitality remains an unstoppable force as they are crowned champions of the IEM Dallas 2025.
The IEM Dallas 2025 grand final was a completely one-sided affair. As the clear favorites, Team Vitality came into the finals after eliminating Team Falcons in the first semi-final. For MOUZ, they cleared through The Mongolz with relative ease. Unfortunately, their kryptonite would be their challenger in the finals.
Having not managed a full series win over Vitality since IEM Rio 2024, MOUZ was hoping to finally make a dent in their rival’s insane win streak. But, even with constant close calls and huge clutches, they fell short as Vitality continued to extend their record streak.
Vitality makes it 30 on the trot as ZywOo stars
With Dust 2 kicking things off, it was MOUZ that had the advantage after the pistol round. However, even with a few further rounds going their way before the swap, Vitality was quick to take control. It was MOUZ’s time to shine once they swapped over, with six rounds in a row to bring the first map into their favor.
But, despite landing a one-versus-five clutch from Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo, the early lead wasn't enough from MOUZ to stop Vitality's march. With Robin "ropz" Kool and Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut on the prowl, MOUZ were doomed. A quick five-round streak turnaround gave map one to the dominant Vitality.
Heading into Mirage, it seemed as though we would have a quick map. With a 10-2 first half, Vitality left their opponents with nothing. Again, MOUZ made a comeback; another six round streak brought the team back into the map, but Vitality steeled themselves and found the final rounds to make it 2-0.
Inferno was the third map choice and would be the final map at IEM Dallas 2025. Once again, with their last breath, MOUZ went in search of the comeback after Vitality’s early dominance. And much like in the previous two maps, it was not enough. At the end, Vitality cleaned up on their second map choice, claiming a 3-0 victory.
Map Winner Score | Dust 2 Vitality 13-11 (7-5) | Mirage Vitality 13-9 (10-2) | Inferno Vitality 13-8 (7-5) |
